You realize our Government has teamed up with the mafia on numerous occasions since the 1930's right?

You mean like the Bay of Pigs?

Maybe I read wrong but I thought this was about Sicily not the US. How do topics(non US) end up US

I take you missed the part about Chicago and other liberal mayors, the main topic really. Sicily was just the lead in.

when those persons who are elected, appointed or hired to
maintain law and order in their respective municipalities turn a blind
eye towards the criminal acts of one group of criminals over another they
become derelict in duty to their sworn oath to uphold the law...they also
become culpable for the crimes of either group they choose to favor...

if you drive your friends to rob a bank, you are charged with
bank robbery and not given a ticket for double parking....

You realize that you should offer evidence to support your claim, right?

You obviously don't know much about World War 2 when the OSS and Office of Naval Intelligence worked with the Mafia Commission to protect the east coast ports, the Mafia also provided intelligence, guaranteed there would be no dock workers strikes during the work and our government also worked with the Sicilian Mafia to develop intelligence in Italy.

The 1960's when we partnered with the Mafia to get rid of the Castro regime and the Mafia's ties to the CIA is well documented up until the 1980's.

Because the Sicilian Mafia has control of the Mafia Commission here in the US. They run the Gambino family and the Gambino's chair the Commission. What ever happens in Sicily eventually happens here.

Adding the massive espionage on a large scale, in the past was like a boomerang...today it's pretty much the same...the only difference is...advanced tech and not only.

ask the mob to clean up the problem areas of chicago for us....

then, their Don would give the message to our Don....

" back-off magpie, that's one of our main business districts
and those are some of the our best *customers..."

was your statement made in my direction, Argo?

you always seem to have a pretty decent opinion about all sorts of things .. it's interesting how all of this 'the mobsters' in our general life starts with reading, learning and informing our future generations that this can/will and always be a case of' the large scale mobs' in so many areas and all over the globe.

the mafia never sleeps with another group.,,.you sleep in their bed...

They have rules about killing "civilians", it is not allowed. It attracts to much attention. They learned from the days of Al Capone that it's bad business and any murder of a "civilian" without the approval of the commission is a death sentence.

All sorts of despotic people offering rescue and refuge in the world.

Some want your soul, some your complicity in their crimes (like the Mafia), some want your allegiance in destroying your friends who don't buy in.

The Nazi's and the Communists kept the streets reasonably crime free. The slave owners protected their slaves from most outsiders.

This is yet another example of why the saying "the enemy of my enemy is my friend," is a bald outrageous lie.

Lucky Luciano respected our soldiers so much that he often looked out for them in Italy when we banished him. He was often seen taking pictures with and dining with American soldiers. He wasn't all bad....

Hell, Luciano was more a businessman then a gangster. He ended the Castellammarese War and formed the Commission to prevent future bloodshed. There was not another war while he chaired the Commission. He didn't like violence and didn't want to resort to violence unless necessary because it was bad for business.

He also has Murder Inc. formed to do the hits the Commission voted on so he would have some kind of control and civilians wouldn't be in the crosshairs of some reckless shootout. There were severe repercussions if a civilian, elected official or cop got killed. He even ordered the death of his long time friend Dutch Schultz because he conspired to kill District Attorney Dewey.

A few years back there was a low level mobster on Staten Island, who thought he was selling guns to criminals but in fact the 2 " criminals" were undercover cops. Something happened during the deal and he shot and killed both cops ( one a city cop, the other a ATF cop) A dragnet went out for this guy.. 2 days later he was found with a bullet in his head sitting in a car on a Brooklyn street

The mob got to him first

As a rule they do not kill non mobsters. And if a mobster does.. he ends up like this guy.
