No, absolutely not.

But it can seem to happen, serendipitously.

I can see someone for the first time, have a special positive reaction to their appearance, feel a tremendous hunger for my fantasy of them, and then if I'm very very lucky, my actual experience with them will match up to the fantasy.

But no, I think that that first sensation isn't love.

Of course, I've come to be VERY selective about my definition of love.

Yes, happens all the time with women to me.... But then they start talking and ruin it....

Love takes time to build and it is built from the inside out.

I think there could be a strong attraction at first sight.. but not love.

I believe it's possible as a function of the brain.

Parents do it with their babies all the time.

I believe it's a condition of the brain of a small minority of people.
I do not believe it's an acquired skill.
I believe the vast majority of those that believe in it or think they've experienced it are simply using it as a means of feeling special, avoiding responsibility, avoiding thinking, and just want to feel. Little different than crack addicts.

Considering that every person feels love differently I imagine that it could happen for some people.

Also considering that most people do not display their true selves at all times, love at first sight might be love for a certain aspect of the person as displayed but not necessarily the entire being of that person.

Love at First Sight actually means Love at First Encounter. I have never fell in love with anyone from just looking at their picture.

I have never met anybody that loves everything about someone else entirely. There are always tolerances given. Exceptions made. Love only happens for me when the things I love about them exceed the tolerances and exceptions I make for the things I don't love about them. Love takes time, honesty and togetherness.

Ask yourself if you are in love with that person or in love with the idea of being in love with that person?
