I always remember what neil Armstrong said. "i believe we only have so many heartbeats before we die and I do not intend to waste any of mine on exercise"

Just because famous people say these quotes doesn't make them right.

Exercise is one of the best stress releases ever, but either way you're screwed.
We're all slowly dying anyway.

I agree with Joe,exercise is a great way to relive stress, plus as you age you are physically able to enjoy life. On the other hand after working out its possible to get run over by a truck so I guess it comes down to fate..lol

There are no guarantees but you can hedge your bets. Abuse your body and it will likely give on you, way before it was designed to. Even hereditary conditions can be avoided with exercise and healthy choices. If even allows my to indulge my vice (cakes, chocolate and alcohol etc) and it do less damage. So my view is I enjoy life. I want this life to last as long as I can enjoy it. Therefore I look after myself so, I'm likely to be able to enjoy it for longer.

I always thought that was true as well.
Problem is I have had 3 different doctors tell me not to exercise?

Limit my walking
Do not run
Do not swim
Do not ride my bike
No sit ups
No push ups

Stretching is okay but not repetative?

I've got to ask, what condition have you that they've basically just said to you prepare to die? The human body is like any other machine, it needs maintenance or it will fail. Muscles need exercise or they waste away. If you've ever had a limb in a cast for a few months you'd know that.

now serious..
if you do not like it at all, why force yourself?
i love it. it makes me feel refreshed mentally and physically. i also have my tests done, the results show obviously it helps about my health too.

but if you are someone really disliking it, forcing yourself to do it.. it can make you more stressed. then leave it.

I'm not going to disclose that information because I don't want it public.
I am losing muscle mass that is why I asked if I could exercise.
Three doctors because I fired the last two because they seemed to had just written me off.

I will tell you the issue has to do with my abdomen and diaphram.
My recently new dr (one visit so far) told me to not exercise yet but he will look into it.

Up until I got sick, I was very fit.

Sorry to hear and yes you were right to fire them. Don't let anyone write you off before you're ready. We are all aging. People that regulary exercise age slower. If there is no biological virus which needs expelling then exercise. It strengthens the immune system.
