WASHINGTON (AP) - Former White House press secretary Scott McClellan blames President Bush and Vice President **** Cheney for efforts to mislead the public about the role of White House aides in leaking the identity of a CIA operative.

In an excerpt from his forthcoming book, McClellan recounts the 2003 news conference in which he told reporters that aides Karl Rove and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby were "not involved" in the leak involving operative Valerie Plame.

"There was one problem. It was not true," McClellan writes, according to a brief excerpt released Tuesday. "I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest-ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice president, the president's chief of staff and the president himself."

Bush's chief of staff at the time was Andrew Card.

Intent? Clearly.

So why are the Dems still
afraid to impeach Cheney
and/or Bush?

Scott McClelland had a hand
in keeping his mouth shut
and covering up for this
administration.

But, I suppose, better
late than never.

I have been told that upon the traitors leaving office charges will be brought against them!

Alberto Gonzalez is already prepareing for this! He is one of the reasons impeachment proceeding weren't started a year ago!
How can you prosecute Bush and Cheney when the highest cop in the country is in Kahootz with the lot!

Did you see in the news where Gonzales was booed and ridiculed during a speech at a college!

Ill try to find that !!

WASHINGTON — As he steps out on a speech-giving tour at college campuses, former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales may soon wish he was still talking to hostile congressional committees.
Gonzales, who resigned under fire two months ago from the Justice Department, was booed, heckled and called a criminal and a liar by students while giving a speech this week at the University of Florida.
At one point, someone wearing an orange prison jumpsuit and a black hood calmly walked onstage and stood next to Gonzales as he spoke.
For his part, Gonzales defended the Bush administration's treatment of terror suspects and did not engage the rowdy crowd, which included supporters as well.
"No one is perfect," he said.
It was Gonzales' first steps on a trail well-trod by former politicians and celebrities: speeches for cash. For his appearance Monday in Gainesville, Fla., Gonzales earned $40,000. He'll make another $30,000, plus an additional $5,000 in travel, reception and security expenses, at a Feb. 19 speech at Washington University in St. Louis.
Gonzales is being offered to audiences by New York-based Greater Talent Network, the same group that arranges speaking tours for "Sex and the City" author Candace Bushnell, outed CIA operative Valerie Plame and ice cream guys Ben & Jerry.

Students were not allowed to ask questions directly, as they were at the Kerry event. Instead questions were submitted and read by a university law professor. One question asked about Gonzales' views on immigration.

"Because of 9-11, we have to get this right. We have to know who is in this country," he said.

Gonzales also said it was perfectly appropriate to replace U.S. attorneys, because they are political appointees.

University officials said it was Gonzales' first appearance at a university since he left office in late August.
A few protesters carried signs protesting the appearance.

About 15 minutes into his speech, two UF students, Richard Gutierrez and Kevin Hachey, climbed onto the stage wearing orange jumpsuits and black hoods on their heads.

University Police Department officers scrambled onto the stage to remove them.

Matthew Cox, an employee of the Phillips Center, wrestled with one protester on the far side of stage, grabbing his legs and pulling him down.

The other stood directly next to Gonzales, who calmly avoided looking in his direction.

As police took the protester away, Gonzales glanced in his direction before attempting to continue his speech while he waited for the raucous crowd to settle down after a few minutes.

A few more protesters climbed onto the stage.

Meanwhile, even more protesters stood up, removed shirts or jackets revealing yellow T-shirts that read "SHAME," and stood with their backs toward Gonzales.

They remained standing in their positions for the rest of the event.

"It is abhorrent that they would spend that amount of money. This man is a criminal," said Glenda Allen, of Jacksonville.

Coming up with the cash to pay Gonzales' fee was not easy, Patel said.

Campus groups relying on student fees generally bankroll such speeches and "it was kind of difficult finding student groups who were willing to support him," Patel said.
