I found out the hard way that explaining my point of view is viewed with ridicule, insults and disdain. So in my opinion she is the best ticket for 2008 will have to be good enough. I do not have to defend my position. I feel my position is just and right so no defending needed.bigsmile

It takes away manpower that we may need in the future to protect Britain!,,,Again!!!!
Dont worry though Belushi, If the Queen needs our protection, What do we have in Iraq 170,000 ????

Video footage which shows the moment US planes fired on a British convoy may be shown to the family of a soldier killed in the attack.

The tape was taken from the cockpit one of the planes that fired on British troops, was viewed by Coroner Andrew Walker.

L/Cpl Hull, Household Cavalry Regiment, died from multiple injuries inside his blazing Scimitar tank, despite efforts by colleagues to save him.

He was travelling in a column of light armoured vehicles near the southern city of Basra when it was attacked by a US A-10 "tankbuster" aircraft.

Corporal Ashley Bell, who was also in the convoy, earlier told the inquest in Oxford of his shock when the planes continued to bomb the tanks in front of him.

"We started to realise this was a friendly-on-friendly and I got onto the radio," said Cpl Bell.

"I asked for a 'Stop Stop Stop, check fire', at which everyone in our forces is supposed to stop firing."

But he said he got no response from air controllers and the planes attacked again.

He said: "When they came through and engaged again, I got onto the net [radio network] and then screamed a 'Stop stop stop' again.

This was from the BBC ...

Tell you what, Fanta, if this is the protection you have in mind, dont bother.

All the gear ... no idea grumble

Think the lesson would have been learned a couple of years back after the same happening to Canadian troops.

Oh, its not the first time that the US has slaughtered friendlies ...

Two US Air Force F15s dropped a single 500lb bomb on to the British fighting position in error.

Three soldiers were killed in the blast. The two injured were taken by Chinook helicopter to Camp Bastion, the main British base in Helmand province. The incident took place in twilight in an undulating area in the northwest corner of Kajaki, a few miles from a hydroelectric dam that is being renovated and expanded to provide electricity for the whole province.

The investigation is focusing on whether the American pilots misread the data supplied to them or dropped a bomb by mistake

It was the most serious friendly-fire case involving British and American military personnel since the 1991 Gulf War, when US A10 tankbusting aircraft attacked a British convoy in the Kuwaiti desert, killing nine soldiers.
