Train To Busan was pretty good indeed.

One at a time! oh no...

Where to start, where to start...

Howl ( 2015 )

When passengers on a train are attacked by a creature, they must band together in order to survive until morning.

Its British. Takes a look at lycanthropes hidden in the forest.
The creature designs are well done and the action sequences work well with the conditions.

After seeing "It" tonight that has to be it.

I have a copy of the new IT but haven't watched IT yet.

Its tough to add only one title when I like so many!

Dog Soldiers (2002)
R | 1h 45min | Action, Horror, Thriller | 10 May 2002 (UK)

A British Squad is sent on a training mission in the Highlands of Scotland against Special Operations squad. Ignoring the childish "campfire" stories heard about the area, they continue with their mission and come across the bloody remains of the Special Ops Squad, and a fierce howling is pitching the night sky... With two mortally wounded men, they make an escape, running into a zoologist by the name of Megan - who knows exactly what hunts them. What began as what they thought was a training mission turns into a battle for their lives against the most unlikely enemies they would have expected - werewolves.

I love monster movies and werewolves are my favorite classic monster besides the Creature From The Black Lagoon. Rumor has it that the Universal's Dark Universe may do a remake of The Creature From The Black Lagoon and I have seen concept sketches of the new design and they look fantastic. The new Mummy film with Tom Cruise was the first movie in the Dark Universe series.

Here is some info on the Dark Universe film schedule
http://www.denofgeek.com/us/movies/universal-monsters/255097/complete-upcoming-dark-universe-monsters-movie-schedule

We also have more coming in Legendary's Monsterverse

Films
2.1 Godzilla (2014)
2.2 Kong: Skull Island (2017)
2.3 Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
2.4 Godzilla vs. Kong (2020)

Tie-in material
3.1 Books
3.2 Comics
3.3 Video games

Amityville Horror
Exorcist

The Experiment(its a rare JP import film) I actually had to turn it off it made me want to throw up it was so real-like. It was brutal horror and as much as I hate it....it was an old VHS movie and I would give anything to get it on DVD---it does not exist. Its so digusting.

I collect Asian Horror, and I have some gore that is really freaky. Asian Horror is pure hell and haunting,,,this US junk dont even come close to it. I have stuff that will haunt you for weeks!!!!!!!!

Jeepers Creepers (2001)
R | 1h 30min | Horror, Mystery | 31 August 2001 (USA)

On their way back home during the spring break, Darry and Patricia Jenner witness a mysterious person dumping something down a tunnel. Deciding to discover what was dumped down there, Darry discovers a huge disturbing hideout full of modified bodies. Darry and Patricia set off to get help, unaware that the individual is now aware of who has been down the tunnel. Darry and Patricia soon realizes that their pursuer is not just a mysterious person, but something even more horrifying, who has more in store than they could possibly imagine.

I also like Jeepers Creepers II (2003) The one with the bus load of kids. Got some good views of the creeper.

I'm really looking forward to
Jeepers Creepers III (2017)
Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral (original title)

Set between the first and second film, Sgt Davis Tubbs assembles a task force to destroy the Creeper once and for all while growing closer than ever before to learning the secrets of its dark origins, as the monster terrorizes a local farming community.

But I am disappointed that it isn't starting where the last film ended. I was kinda looking forward to the BatOutaHell waking up in that barn. Its obvious that Sgt Davis Tubbs fails and the creeper continues. It also changes the timeline established in the first two films as they happen on consecutive days of the creeper's feeding limits.

I wish Hollywood would stop with all these prequels that break timelines and ruin cannon.

I know that j-horror and k-horror are among the best there is but I also like other countries contributions to the genre.
I am a single language person and I have to be in the mood to read a movie with subs.

The Thing (1982)
R | 1h 49min | Horror, Mystery, Sci-Fi | 25 June 1982 (USA)
A US research station, Antarctica, early-winter 1982. The base is suddenly buzzed by a helicopter from the nearby Norwegian research station. They are trying to kill a dog that has escaped from their base. After the destruction of the Norwegian chopper the members of the US team fly to the Norwegian base, only to discover them all dead or missing. They do find the remains of a strange creature the Norwegians burned. The Americans take it to their base and deduce that it is an alien life form. After a while it is apparent that the alien can take over and assimilate into other life forms, including humans, and can spread like a virus. This means that anyone at the base could be inhabited by The Thing, and tensions escalate.

I also like The Thing (2011) and even The Thing from Another World (1951). That is because I like the story Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell Jr. which can be downloaded to read or listen to at http://www.outpost31.com/whogoesthere or to listen to as a dramatic audio book at youtube.

@Tom,,,if you know where to look online you can get Asian-Horror not just JP or ROK(korean). There are many others. I got some whacked out films in my my collection that really are so real and disgusting you will turn it of. I have no problem with subs at all. I watch Drama also, so what I do is watch it and dont pay attention to subs, then I get the picture in my head. I watch it again then I can read and identify the scene and whats going on.

yup-yup. Your recommendation sub area of comics is fun. Im a huge Manga fan myself. Try MPD-Psycho. You might like that series. I think its a Dark Horse import. You can buy it anywhere if you have a good comic shop where you live, or used on ebay on the cheap Im sure. Pretty popular stuff.

Added: If your a gamer and into Manga then you must know about YesAsia. They have all kinds of fun stuff. I buy all my game imports on asian sites. If you get the right site you will be in movie monster heaven and manga and games, etc.

Yup. haha, Im a gamer nerd myself, but thats another thread. :)

I know... I even have live streams from all over the world including Russia and Japan. My passion is not asian horror but I have some titles in my collection. I don't mind well-made Hollywood films.

I watch very few comics and manga. I loved the original Death Note and didn't have a problem with the recent remake either.

This topic is about What Are Your Favorite Horror Movies
Now Tom.... One at a time please?

I could possibly list at least 500 films that I like above the norm. But, I am limited to one featured film per post. I bold the title and quote the IMdb blurb.

Offspring (2009)
R | 1h 19min | Horror | 28 August 2009 (Canada)
Survivors of a feral flesh-eating clan are chowing their way through the locals. Amy Halbard and Claire Carey strive to survive their abduction by the cannibals and save their children. A subplot involving Claire's despicable husband, Steven, gives an opportunity to cleverly compare predatory civilized folk to the appetite-driven primitives.

I found this film feckin brutal and sick. When that guy bit off that woman's 'nether' region I almost died of shock. Even the ending sequence with the savage woman was sadistic.
Then I found out there was a part two, The Woman (2011) about

Raised by wolves, a feral woman and last survivor of a cannibalistic tribe of inbred savages, bathes wounded and vulnerable in a river somewhere in the lush woods of Northeast coast where she used to roam free. Stripped of clothes and anything that could tie her to the human race, the human-like savage beast will seem as the perfect trophy to the eyes of Chris, a misogynistic lawyer, who will hunt the woman down, and like the most precious and elusive prey, he will manage to capture her and bring her home. However, is there a place for a feral, flesh-eating primitive who communicates with grunts and growls, among civilized people? In the days to come, Chris will make the woman his project, and like a proud predator kept in captivity, with the help of his dysfunctional family, he will attempt to domesticate the untamed female by sadistically breaking her will. Soon enough though, no restraints, no training, and certainly no male supremacy will be a match for the raging woman's raw and merciless punishment.

This film is also sadistic and brutal but there are differences in the decadence. It comes in a very close second to Offspring.

Someone stole it and threw it on a pile, I saw it there and picked it up and took it home.

What Are Your Favorite Horror Movies
Now Tom.... One at a time please?

Virus (1999)
R | 1h 39min | Action, Horror, Thriller | 15 January 1999 (USA)
When a typhoon cripples their boat, the crew sails into the eye of the storm, where they discover a high-tech Russian communications and research vessel adrift. Only one Russian crew member is still alive, raving about "intelligent lightning." They soon discover that an alien life form has taken over the ship's computers and is churning out mechanical warriors. With their own boat destroyed, the crew must battle the creature as the ship reenters the storm.

Cheesy gore but better than Moontrap (1989). I quite enjoy seeing Jamie Lee Curtis being chased around a ship by a pig squeeling alien cyborg wanting her flesh and bones. I think I have seen this film at least 10 times, lol, never gets old.

The Atticus Institute (2015)
Not Rated | 1h 23min | Horror | 5 January 2015 (USA)
In the fall of 1976, a small psychology lab in Pennsylvania became the unwitting home to the only government-confirmed case of possession. The U.S. military assumed control of the lab under orders of national security and, soon after, implemented measures aimed at weaponizing the entity. The details of the inexplicable events that occurred are being made public after remaining classified for nearly forty years.

While I see possession movies more as fantasy I swear this film is about my X. I just wish mine had been this quiet. That is the only reason I like this film, the matching personalities. Other than that is a pisspoor mockumentary.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)
R | 1h 26min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller | 21 December 2016 (USA)

Cox and Hirsch play father and son coroners who receive a mysterious homicide victim with no apparent cause of death. As they attempt to identify the beautiful young "Jane Doe," they discover increasingly bizarre clues that hold the key to her terrifying secrets.

I kinda liked it because of the implications but the film was well made for a limited set.

Nothing can beat "Army of Darkness" with Bruce Cambell!

No offense intended but I consider Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness as comedies.
The first Evil Dead was okay But the remake (to me) was pretty good.
The Ash VS Evil Dead TV Series is watchable but I still consider it a comedy/fantasy.

The Beast of Bray Road (2005)
R | 1h 20min | Horror | 1 September 2005 (USA)

Based on actual accounts of werewolf sightings in Walworth County, Wisconsin, the film follows a local sheriff who is finally forced to accept that a string of horrifying deaths is linked to a predator which possesses DNA of both man and wolf.

~~~From Wiki:
The Beast of Bray Road (or the Bray Road Beast) is a cryptid, or cryptozoological creature first reported in 1936 on a rural road outside of Elkhorn, Wisconsin. The same label has been applied well beyond the initial location, to any unknown creature from southern Wisconsin or northern Illinois. This paranormal report describes as having similar characteristics to those reported in the initial set of sightings.
Bray Road itself is a quiet country road near the community of Elkhorn. The rash of claimed sightings in the late 1980s and early 1990s prompted a local newspaper, the Walworth County Week, to assign reporter Linda Godfrey to cover the story. Godfrey was initially skeptical, but later became convinced of the sincerity of the witnesses. Her series of articles later became a book titled The Beast of Bray Road: Tailing Wisconsin's Werewolf.
The Beast of Bray Road is described by purported witnesses in several ways: as a bear-like creature, as a hairy biped resembling Bigfoot, and as an unusually large (2–4 feet tall on all fours, 7 feet tall standing up) intelligent wolf-like creature apt to walk on its hind legs and weighing 400-700 pounds. It also said that its fur is a brown gray color resembling a dog or bear.
Although the Beast of Bray Road has not been seen to transform from a human into a wolf in any of the sightings, it has been labeled a werewolf in newspaper articles.
I like the film because for some reason it captures my imagination, plus I like Sarah Lieving.
