some people feel like they have to keep up the crowd and have the latest things - I think it's a status thing - you know whomever has the most toys wins!laugh

Why do people walk around with their phones in their hands like it's their ticket to the promised land?

Why do people take an ungodly amount of time and space trying to park their ginormous SUVs while holding a phone to their ear?

Why can't people negotiate a straight section of hyway, make a turn, or stay in their lane while texting?

because the phones you have are aging after 3-4 years. /// I guess not if you do not want to be young ... and the effect of the ad ...spock

I switched from a small Samsung android to a medium tablet/phone large enough to see my screen comfortably and small enough to fit in my back pocket.
It's a question of comfort of usage, storage space and computing power.

SEEMINGLY, yes.
The critique is easy and virtue-signalling but my tablet is my companion at all times.
No more asking clueless people for directions.
No more guessing at where is a great restaurant and its embiance.
No more waiting in line for theater tickets.
No more staring in dead space on a bus or train and no need to throw away magazines hence less trees cut.
And last but not least, Mingle2 wherever I go, woooohooo! tongue2

Guess there are many good reasons for that, but one thing is some apps may not work on older models properly any more .. Skype for an example .. doesn't work on phones older than a couple of years - if I'm not mistaken .. "thanks" to Microsoft :)
Also new phones should have more features and benefits .. more horsepower perhaps
.. winking

Seems senseless. This flip phone works perfectly fine. I am having trouble getting the web to load on it... so probably need to change it, but only because it's not working.. :)

I'm not often to change a cellphone, maybe will change/buy a new cellphone only when needed, just in case the old one stopped working/damaged. :p
Also for a few years, I still using an old cellphone (blackberry), and honestly it still working well till this day, but I think I need to buy a new cellphone, because I can not use some apps on my blackberry by now, especially whatsapp and facebook messenger, that's why I have plan to change my cellphone sooner than later. :p

Because Steve Apple Jobs and Michael Android built in subliminal programming that plays after the NSA and cell phone determine someone is asleep telling people to buy a new cell phone.

I believe most people upgrade to a phone that's better suited to their needs, but there will always be those that must have the latest phone available, different strokes for different folks as they say.
