I figured it out on my own, eventually, well, most of it. There's still things one may never know.

When I was really little we had an artichoke bush out back.
Family loved artichokes.
My parents explained how it worked..you tore off all the leaves,
dipped them in mayo, and ate them.

When the leaves were gone you were left with that stumpy part.
My parents said, "That is nasty, we will dispose of that part
for you when you get to it."

I bought that..handed over the nasty part when I finished
the leaves. And THEY ate it. Sometimes they even fought
over who got to dispose of it.

To this day I cannot eat the prime part because even though I
now know better, my brain retains that and I canna eat it.

Now, flash forward 40+ years, my Mother is on her last visit to me,
chaperoned from the Home, she is senile and has dementia, once a
beauty queen, now reduced to a shell.

She does not know who I am, but when the hubby walks in she gives
him a once-over, then does it again..then she says.."Artichoke!"

Only sex-ed I ever got ;-)

Nothing
I knew more about the social habits of farm animals than I did about people.

I had to teach myself, then reteach myself, then reteach myself , then reteach myself and I am still reteaching myself.

Want a man to vacuum nekid, hide his clothes where he would never look, in the washing machine.

I don't blame my parents for never directly trying to educate me about the opposite sex. In addition to their having grown up during a time of extreme censorship, the entire CULTURE refuses to seriously try to teach each other about this subject area, when we are young. That's still true today.

I remember I was in the first generation in Virginia, which was allowed to have something called "Sex Education" when I was in middle school. Since Virginia was then, and continues to be a very conservative state, and because the whole idea was new, we weren't allowed to do more than talk a tiny bit about the fact that girls and boys were physically different.

The number one thing I still remember to this day about that time, is that what little education we got, started at the point where the person being discussed is already in a bed, with a girl, and they are both naked.

The absolute most important teaching, about how to reach THAT point, was completely ignored.

And of course, just as today, most of what was shown in films and told in stories, was idealized in order to (I deduce) allow the people in influential positions, try to make the fantasy version of real love, actually happen for their children.

Anyway. Like everyone else I know, even today, all I had to go on for how to become involved with a possible mate, was based on rumors, hearsay, fantasies, and wishful thinking. Never on what actually happens with a given person.

I dunno Igor
Personally I learn a lot by watching how other people behave.
Couples not only demonstrated to me what to do but also what not to do.
From my parents to friends at school and workplace acquaintances.
While it is not active teaching, passive teaching also occurs.

I know how to get a woman to take off her clothes while doing housework.
It works on the rewards system.
Want a cookie?

Not a lot really.
I dare not give cheek to a woman though, my father would have literally battered me all over the house.

As for the birds and Bees, I owe a girl called Joan a great debt lol

This thread makes me think of what I didn't tell my kids about the opposite sex... And to be honest, I haven't a clue, hihi.
Not that I found it difficult to address the subject per say, more that it's difficult to fathom when your kid is ready for such things.

LoL, I was pretty thorough, maybe too thorough.
I also still finding my children asking me questions on relationships.
I always lead with "what do you think" when replying to their questions.
I find that most of the time, they just want a 2nd opinion or a confirmation.
Yes, naked housework has come up.
My first question is always, "well, where are the kids?"

My one son wanted to know why his wife was mad about him pricing a stripper pole for the bedroom? He said, "Dad, when I brought it up she was all into it but she got mad when we went to Home Depot for the materials".
That was an interesting discussion.

dunking their tackle in after intimacy

rofl

When the X was wearing shorts and flip=flops in the car she used to drive me crazy by putting her bare feet up on the dash.
To get her back I would wash the car in only cutoff jeans and I would purposely get them wet and soapy and show her the soap suds streaming down the back of my legs while I shook my booty at her.
