I disagree. It can definitely happen online. How do you communicate with your date? where do u meet them?

You network online. You meet in the real world. Unless you are both to effed up, then whatever...

Mr.Ohsik, I’ve read your blog ,if what you’ve said is true 48 dates in 2 years is pretty darn good, there are many men on line ( just read the forums) that have been online for years without going on one date , let alone 48.

The fact that you’ve met them in person means you’re doing something right, perhaps you need to tweak a few things.

I can say from my own experience online dating for me has been pretty good, I’m on a couple of sites and I’ve met ladies but not the woman of my dreams .

I don’t know if I’m too selective, perhaps I am, but I look at online dating as another tool or an alternative to other ways of meeting.

I found a few friends here already, which means a lot to me. But meeting up seems quite difficult atm. There is my location for example, or the location of a certain someone ... or both. But giving up hope was never an option.

There is a big difference with "online" dating and "in person/real life" dating.

Have you experienced both Kat?

I'm not sure I would take the online thing serious unless I met them in person first. It's too easy to form false ideas and illusions about the relationship when you haven't met.

On line should be the opportunity to get a little acquainted which should lead to a meet and greet. You shouldn't expect more! A real date follows the meet and greet. Those who have no intention of doing a meet and greet shouldn't be on dating sites!

Its all magic things just get to happen you can't just stop them from happening
if it didn't happen then its wasn't meant to happen

I am not dating but if I was . . Online sites if used correctly can be very beneficial .. I do believe local sites are the best way to actively meet and socialise .. many hold regular activity events and networking meets .. where you meet as a group to socialise . For many that takes away the pressure of meeting one on one, expands social circles and provides a less intimidating way to start the dating process ..

Online ..Many have told me .. they had hundreds of meets .. which were disappointing .. usually one or both had lied about their appearance, dating status .. or there was absolutely no chemistry ..

Online dating is just an adjuvant tool for meeting potential dates .. keep things real waving
