What kind of game is this anyway !!! People are addicted to gaming.

Never heard of it. I don't game anymore, not online, not offline. Have done so for a while around the time of my divorce and afterwards. It's a distraction. Some people drink, use drugs or whatever, others get sucked into gaming. For many who get addicted (permanently) it's escapism. Not being able to deal with life.
Unfortunately many young people are addicted to it. My ex son in-law was. Barely paid attention to his new wife, my daughter, come home: game. Eat, leave the dinner table before she was ready: game.
My ex stepson was like that too. Didn't go to school, didn't do anything really bar from blowing all day long and gaming.
Now, a good 15 yrs later, he's still like that (pushing 30). No future. Just an addict, unable to deal with life.

Much of this has to do with the current societal system. Many people don't feel happy in it anymore, but don't know how to deal with it, how to change their lives around. They're lost.
The number of unhappy people concerning this is increasing. And I doubt it'll change until the current way we live -or better said: how society is constructed- will collapse.

There are many unhappy people unable to deal with Life.

Society has no real help for people in additions. Programs may help in some cases.
