Name that lyric or line from a song that sticks in your head, and maybe why...

I'll start with this:

'The world is full of kings and queens who'll blind your eyes and steal your dreams, it's heaven and hell..."

I'll find somewhere where they don't care who I am.

OK, do my best not to cheat and use Google....

for some reason your lyric causes an earworm of "I've seen your face before my friend, but I don't know if you know who I am"

;-)

I'm going back aways with this.

"Don't say a prayer for me now. Save it till the morning after".

And this one,

"Where is the life that I recognize? Gone away. But I won't cry for yesterday".

That's a Neil Young lyric.

By the summer it was healing
We had said goodbye
All the years we'd spent with feeling
Ended with a cry

>>>>>>>>chorus<<<<<<<<<<

Hey pretty boy in your cowboy hat
You couldn't hit country with a baseball bat
Country ain't just about where you're at
It's about bein' true to what's inside
You say you're an outlaw with your perfect boots
That you got from your record label's image group
Sing another man's song with a big drum loop
Listen, son, you ain't got a clue
You can't buy true, tell you what they should do
They should outlaw you
They should outlaw you

To the funny farm"

"my mama don't like you and she likes everyone."

'they really dont have no where to go, ask them where theyre going, they dont know"

"say it loud, Im black and Im proud"

"gotta get that dirt off your shoulder"

"let me clear my throat"

... too many others to name.

You only see what
your eyes want to see
How can life be
what you want it to be
You're frozen
when your heart's
not open

"There's no mountain I can't climb, there's no tower too high, no plane that I can't learn to fly"

Only when it is smooth will you see
How many fairy tales remain for you
And you will plead for salvation"

'Son of an immortal,
Immortal he shall be
Travelling to the other world
To live eternally...'

An exert from the song 'A Heroes Lament' by Irish Folk Metal originators Waylander. A song about our great hero Cú-Chulainn written way back in the early nineties chiefly by the O'Hagan brothers Ciaran and Dermot, the words can be accredited to Ciaran and the composition of the music to Dermot
This particular lyric has stuck with me since I was a young teenager, a very simple few lines that reveal both the fate and origins of the greatest warrior to have ever roamed the earth Cú-Chulainn - The Hound Of Ulster.
