OldKid --all i can think of is my older sisters' response to many things.. EGAD and Little Fishes. Going to your local bar restaurant and home by 10 is not a date night!!

NO, this topic is talking about a date night as part of a long term or married couple to help put some fun and spice back into their relationship. Don't confuse that with taking someone out for the evening. Very different situations with a very different goal!

If couples are in a serious relationship, a date night is very important. What both can enjoy. I f you are not in a relationship and just dating, every. Date is date night. Relationships need Spicing Up ! Good Chemistry makes it Right. : Yup My mom lived next door to us and always wanted to watch the kids. I wanted to let her so me and my ex could have a date night, even if it was just at home, just the two of us for a few hours or so. My ex never wanted to and always made excuses. It got to the point where I didn't bother asking because she never wanted. That's just one of many factors as to what ended our relationship.

I like a gentleman on my dates, enjoying doing things we like together. Have had several, so I know from experience.

Did you not say something about spicing up the relationship?? And just how does your equating a Friday night asking you out for dinner and drinks equate to your original post??

The words I used in my original post: companion/husband/whatever. I assumed we were talking about a couple in a committed relationship who live together, probably married. So just what is your assumption about this couple? Some of you seem to have a hard time with a married couple having an actual sex life!

IDK? Married with Children we had date nights. They were effective. Now that I am no longer married, date night can be any night, or any day. It becomes just going out and spending time together doing something we both want to do.
