I'm curious to see how many Biden supporters we have here. Sooo, if you are tell us what got you on board and why you remain a Biden supporter.

I first got on board with Biden during the Abu Ghraib prisnor abuse scandal, during a senate hearing where Biden pretty much ripped Ashcroft a new one over the issue. Normaly, when I step outside of my support for Nader or Kucinich for another candidate I get dissapointed with them during the debates, but not so with Biden, his progessive ideas could be compared with the likes of Teddy Roosevelt or Woddy Wilson. Even better, he's a straightforward talker, if asked a question there's no politician giving you 50 answers to all but the question at hand, but a direct, logical and sensible answer in a language everybody can understand. His plan for Iraq is right on point too, he wants to divide it into three independant terretories with a loose governance of a federal regulation and a bill of rights, almost an exact match for what worked here in the US after Shey's rebellion following our revolutionary war.

If you're not familliar with Biden, I strongly encourage you to look him up and give him a chance. If you want an experianced, strong leader who knows when to think outside and inside the box, and who'll govern with common sense and progressive ideas, vote Biden;^]

I would love to see Biden run for President. Biden is one of the few Democrats who are willing to say what the Democrat party stands for today, namely: Accusing our soldiers of being mass murdering Nazis.

Wow, when did he say that? Pretty far fetched for someone who's fought in congress on behalf of the troops;^]

It's B.S., Biden has fought tooth & nail to get the troops what they need and to make it possible to bring them home. In fact, his ripping into Ashcroft over prisnor abuse was as Biden put it, that we signed the treaties to protect our troops from being torchered;^]

If you are comparing Joe Biden a flaming left wing Liberal to Teddy Roosevelt, you either have not read anything about Teddy or have smoked some whacky stuff in your momma's basement.

If you think anyway we treat foreign terrorist combatants will change the way some religious nut will treat a military or non-military captive you are kidding yourself.

If only terrorists treated captives like we treat the ones we hold. Of course, instead of playing Metallica non-stop or Barney they'd play some Arab/Middle Eastern song non-stop. And, instead of giving them a new prayer rug and a new Koran they'd give them a blanket and a Bible? And, instead of providing them with an Islamic chef they'd provide someone who could make good cheeseburgers and hotdogs and such whenever they wanted it. And, they'd be waterboarded as well. That is much better than chopping off heads I do believe.

So, if they were to actually follow our interrogation tactics anyone held captive by them would be pretty well off, considering the other option.

Well, we have to look at it realisticaly, one that just because the enemy doesn't follow the treaties doesn't mean we shouldn't, and if we don't we have no ground to critisise other torchering nations. This admin does what it wants & unfortunatly most of the dems do nothing about it. Secondly, torcher doesn't produce accurate information, let's not forget the spanish inquisition and the salem witch trials;^]

Yeah, because supporting Unions, minimum wage, worker rights, etc. etc. etc. is soooo the opposite of "liberal" by todays standards. Also Biden isn't that far left, DEM doesn't always equal "ultra liberalism" Again, his progressive ideas can be compared to Woody Wilson or TR;^]

And, that is a lie. The information we got out of Khalid Sheik Mohammed produced many arrests of known top players and allowed for the disclosure of many new terrorist operations in play. The furthest we went with him is waterboarding, the same tactic that all CIA and Special Operation members are put through. If we do it on our own people, we can do it on terrorists as well.

What do you think we should do?

Play nice, give cookies and hugs and then ask if they know where their buddies are at and what they are planning?

TO BE TOTALLY HONEST, BOTH PARTIES HAVE LOST COMPLETE CONTACT WITH ALL OF US.............EACH AND EVERYONE, BOTH PARTIES DO A LOT OF TALKING, AND NOT WITH THEIR MOUTHS........THIS ELECTION IN 2008 IS GONNA BE A KILLER FOR MANY IN WASHINGTON.........AND THEY KNOW THERE TIME IS COMING TO AN END.........I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY WE THE PEOPLE HAVE ALLOWED THESE MORONS TO BE SO CORRUPT AND SHAFT US THE WAY THEY DO.............grumble

I can't understand why you haven't figured out yet you have the caps lock on :) Do you think it makes your argument look better? If you put all you said into a paragraph, not in caps, and make more sense with it, the whole thing you are trying to say would have much more weight to it.

We should treat them like humans and give them the same rights our domestic prisoners have, including the right to a fair trial. One example out of hundreds, I'm sure there was a single example in the witch trials of an actual witch too, regardless the countless others who were innocent of any crimes and torchered regardless, held without a lawyer or a trial, indefinatly. We followed the conventions for our Nazi POWs during WW2, and when the war was over most of them saught American citisenship;^]

Both parties are generally corrupt, but that doesn't mean every member of said parties are, I think Biden & Kucinich are shining examples of that. Too bad the media keeps them out of front runner competition;^[

Biden is a closet racist by the way:

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook, man." - Joe Biden, comments made to the New York Observer earlier this year
