I own around 45 pairs of shoes/sandals. Many which haven’t been worn for years but don’t want to throw them out as I may wear them in the future.

As for the oldest item of clothing; I haven’t a clue

I inspired someone? Hell, wait for the revolution I am masterminding...

I love retro/vintage clothing, although I do not wear it much and my daughter steals it all.
So some of my items of clothing are 70's.

I recently did a huge wardrobe sort, donated it and now I have about 15 pairs of shoes/boots.
Oldest is beyond my re...collection...

3 pairs of shoes
2 pairs of slippers
3 pairs of boots (one pair was given to me this past Christmas)

Oldest is the ankle boots I got last winter, and the oldest item of clothing is a bathing suit I bought 3 years ago.

I think
1x real Dutch clogs, wear them regularly to walk to the garage or bin
4x boots --> hardly ever wear them, some are 17 yrs old
1x sneakers --> daily footwear
2x high heels --> special occasion only --> foot torture
3x old sneakers for garden work etc

Probably some other shoes that I have forgotten and do not wear

Oldest garment... probably some 18 years old. When I moved in here I still had dresses from when I was 18... Nostalgia!
I chucked those.

I have to count them in my house
at least 6 boots
and 2 long leather boots haven’t been worn for several years (antiques)
At least 3 slippers

I purge my closet often.

I think the oldest piece of clothing I have is a long suede/leather skirt that belonged to my mom. Never seen her wear it in all my years. Will take a gander and say it’s at least20-30 years old?

The oldest thing in my wardrobe? A waterproof overcoat I've had for at least 30 years. It's worn every winter.

I am a shoeaholic with shuicidal tendencies about 110 pairs all told.
Oldest garment if it counts is a.scarf of my fathers he died 60yrs ago and probably owned it for at least 10 years lots of other stuff at least 50 years old

I am feeling quite undershoed now.
I have ONE (pair) of the following:

Slippers, tennis shoes, boots.
(As explanation, all my stuff was stolen -12 years ago- and that
included clothes and footwear..the trauma keeps me from replacing
it all.)

Actually really don't know I'm sure with all counted together for I know I have at least 10 pairs of flip flops/sandals some I have not worn but a few times.. So at least 30 pairs of different ones..

Humm Oldest piece that belongs to me~~ lets see I still have a pair of heels I had when I was 20 yea at least 40 years old and they still look good..even if I can't get my fat foot in them anymore

But now how many pair do I actually wear maybe 6 pairs.. yeppiers time to clean out the closet

I actually have a Christmas sweatshirt style shirt I still wear every single year at Christmas time and I have had it lets just say well over 25 years.. still looks good too.. And I have several t-shirts that I have had for over 20 years that I still wear from time to time..

But now for the oldest piece of clothing I own~~ I have a starched uniform my mother wore when she worked at the Pie Shop in Breckenridge Tx.. back in the early 50's.... It is over 61 years old..

over the yrs 2 snow boots 2dress boots 1 pair cowboy boots work shoes 2 pair of Diabetic work 3 sandals shoes,slippers1pair, if your shoes aren't properly stored and cleaned before storage, they will dry rot️ I had it happen to my Sas's️ I was sad there a very well made shoes not to mention $$

oldest clothing...hmmm...35 yr old t-shirt from a NASA space mission...with only a hole or two from a moth looking for a clothing buffet

I'm not rich enough to own shoes to match different suits or whatever. So I just have the basic "work shoes type a, and work boots type a," and then a pair of sneakers for non work days. Each pair is as old as whatever, and gets replaced when worn. Nothing's brand new at the moment, but new work shoes will probably become necessary this spring.

My one splurge, is a pair of VERY fancy nineteenth century-style rich guy slippers. Black velvet tops with silver thread. Cost me more than my work shoes.

OT i've got about 6. 2 pairs of tough walking shoes a pair of good boots a couple of pairs of ordinary black shoes and a pair of dancing spats.

I got a 10 year old Ralf Louren shirt. that's about it.
