At least according to Ben Ginsberg, the single most prominent Republican election lawyer in the country,

"Trump has enlisted a compliant Republican Party in this shameful effort. The Trump campaign and Republican entities engaged in more than 40 voting and ballot court cases around the country this year. In exactly none — zero — are they trying to make it easier for citizens to vote. In many, they are seeking to erect barriers.

All of the suits include the mythical fraud claim. Many are efforts to disqualify absentee ballots, which have surged in the pandemic. The grounds range from supposedly inadequate signature matches to burdensome witness requirements. Others concern excluding absentee ballots postmarked on Election Day but received later, as permitted under state deadlines. Voter-convenience devices such as drop boxes and curbside voting have been attacked...."

"...This attempted disenfranchisement of voters cannot be justified by the unproven Republican dogma about widespread fraud. Challenging voters at the polls or disputing the legitimacy of mail-in ballots isn't about fraud. Rather than producing conservative policies that appeal to suburban women, young voters or racial minorities, Republicans are trying to exclude their votes."

How much easier should it get? Should we get the lazy people who can't even get their own food, uber eats to pick up their ballot? Perhaps they can vote by Xbox.

I wonder how much pissing and moaning people were doing back before cars. I'm pretty sure just the energy it takes to saddle up a horse to vote, is less than what is needed today.

They cared more about their vote than their inconvenience - because it's worth it. People that don't think their time during one day is worth it, probably shouldn't have a voice - how much can they really care?

So then the military members, and in many cases their families, who are overseas should not have their vote counted? These are counted after the polls close like other absentee / mail in votes. It's not a new thing either been going on since the civil war. Cannot claim to be supportive of the military and deny them one of the basic rights.

Federal law also allows up to five weeks for the counting of ballots to ensure that ALL ballots are counted.

I wasn't aware that the military is claiming voter suppression. There is a process in place BECAUSE of their circumstance. Point out the evidence they are being suppressed and I'll agree with you fully.

Support the troops.

THAT would be suppressing the votes of military personnel, and their families, overseas. Also any Americans serving in embassies, consulates and their families. Business people and their families at overseas offices. Contractors working overseas. Need I go on? This from Trump himself. So he would in effect be suppressing ALL their LEGAL votes.

"I wasn't aware that the military is claiming voter suppression."...... the military as a rule doesn't comment etc regarding politics.

I read the article. No evidence of military being suppressed. I spoke with a member yesterday on the process for overseas voting. There are polling stations on the base, and advanced polling available. You're right about military not speaking about politics; however, there would be evidence that they are getting suppressed through other channels.

One thing I have no doubt about is that Trump will be a poor, poor loser.

The whole thing has been a big game to him and I mean being president.

Picture this; you're the egomaniac Trump and you're hanging out with a couple of your billionaire buddies and Epstein is there showing you some photos of the latest batch of 14 y/o girls he's got lined up for you all to bang. You're all bragging about the real estate and other empires you built by legal loopholes and bankrupting repeatedly, screwing working people out of their money. Suddenly an idea hits Donald and he says "I'll bet you boys that I'm so great I can get elected president"!

Next as they say is history.........................

To say that Trump cares deeply for the American people is a joke, he's an extreme elitist who wouldn't even speak to a common American unless to order them to do something or unless it served him in some way.

Unless I miss my guess the next thing we'll see is some really sleazy attempts to undermine the election results.

they are impeaching him because they are afraid of him running again. hoping to end him forever. steal the election, needed more time because the dominion machines were calibrated at 2% steal and when the election needed more time they illegally changed the dates to allow more time to steal.

the key is they illegally changed the dates though their were legal options....pursued illegal options using friends that would not deny them....innocent people welcome an investigation....rat finks do not...

OK ...they are starting to do it again ... making it harder for voters no matter what the color now... in states that went to Biden ...
they put in de-joy he made a H*ll of a mess around the times of voting ... let alone what is happening now snail mail unless you are a big corporation ...which comes first ...

they are starting again with suppression the voters ...
do to states that politicians will be running soon ... and for 2024 ...

the gerrymandering... has to stop ...Gerrymandering is when a political group tries to change a voting district to create a result that helps them or hurts the group who is against them. ... It puts more votes of winners into the district they will win so the losers win in another district.

needs to stop ...Voter suppression is a strategy used to influence the outcome of an election by discouraging or preventing specific groups of people from voting. ... Voter suppression, instead, attempts to reduce the number of voters who might vote against a candidate or proposition.

does anyone think that if we take away the electoral votes... that might lead to a all out war at the capital again ... the domestic terrorist would not be able to try and change the vote ... like trying before ... right ...thats why they where there ... but a lot of republicans are scare what this mob might do to them ... as your sitting president sits in delight instead of calling the national guard to help ... puts his Vic Presidents head on a platter ... an raiding the rooms seeking to kill others at the capital ... Pence will not be going to CPAC... becouse trump will be there ... he wants his seat back ...where he really did nothing but let people die ... with the virus ... and help start the attack on the capital like the rest who stood with him ... over a blanket trump lie ...and got others killed with that also ...

I believe they should bring back the terrorist levels with...
homeland security ... thats all they need to work out the different levels ... for the killing mobs and just the one with peaceful protesters ... and of course the ones that come to kill here... like the home grown terrorist... and those from other country's...
they should have enough cash ... thats in the budget also ... and they have made the police out with all the gear that was given to them as they pulled tanks and things from other country's ... and I would say for awhile have the upper level of security in the capital to... guarding the out side doors
from steps away from the people inside ... and they have ear peaces to contact who are needed if a mob would start attack again ... in most of the other state to ... you can not just hate on someone and lie to get a mob to try an come in and kill them ... that is not democracy ! that is treason ->the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government.

and again have to start the clean votes again ! not language like ...
lies of stealing the votes ... people lets say this again ... went to many courts and was rejected ... no proof and
Barr found nothing to prove any different ...

well ...I got that off my mind :>)

Election integrity has to include PROVING you are who you say you are and eligible to vote according to election laws. Allowing people to vote without proving who they are is an invitation for fraudulent behavior.

I'm an actual immigrant (not a foreign national in the country illegally) who didn't vote until I was a naturalized citizen because I RESPECT immigration and election laws. When I registered to vote I merely had to check a box saying I was a citizen.....I DIDN'T have to provide ANY proof that I was eligible to vote. You're living in a dream world if you believe that people who broke immigration laws, who are in the country illegally, should be trusted not to vote.
