Cook County ( Chicago) currently has over 100 people arrested for murder out on home confinement ( ankle braclets).
I would really like to have a Dem explain how in the world this is right because this mindset of " tag and release " is being played out in every Dem urban area.
so in Chicago if you murder someone you are sent home and told to be a good boy til your court day.
guess what Chicago
they are going to shed the braclet and take off because the guy he killed was also a thug. and his thug gang friends are coming for him. and they will shoot into the house and they could care less who else the bullets hit.
But hey maybe I'm wrong. Any Dems care to shed done light on this logic?

Still waiting to hear from the Dems out there....HELLO, ANYONE???

You won't hear from them as they are not critical thinkers. Dems are EMOTIONAL voters (think teen girls here) who are so narrow minded with blinders on that their only criteria in voting was they didn't like Trumps personality. Hopefully, in their embarrassment (they are dead silent suddenly), they will just stay home and not vote until better educated about life, events, and policies of both parties.

The whole prison system in the US is quite bizarre. Having them privatized and no real national control so the wardens can do whatever the hell they like...
Plus the US has an insane amount of criminals, one of the highest in the world. I think only Brazil has more.
In that sense it'd mean the whole system and society needs a serious overhaul so this entire situation changes, criminality rates and murder rates drop, and I doubt that will happen in the foreseeable future as it's a huge change that is required.
And as long as people keep thinking it's normal it won't change.

As for the murderers... maybe they are out because prisons are full.

As for not voting Trump... I would not have voted for him either if I was an American. He had some good things, but he didn't give a toss about environmental issues which for me is a huge issue. And in general I've never been keen on any republican president.
And I don't like his rather black & white views and ego thinking that he's right. Like with the Central Park five. They were set free, wrongfully imprisoned and abused etc. Finally set free. What is the first thing the a-hole Trump does when president? Try to revert it and get them back in jail???!! WTF!
When these kids were arrested, coerced, abused and whatnot by the police, he had posted a page-size ad to have them killed. WTF?
Such a man shouldn't even have been president. He's ruthless.
In that sense you can say that people who voted for him don't think. Someone that brutal, that linear and self-righteous is not suited to lead a country.

If I'd had to vote last time I would've had a very difficult time as I also don't fancy a man that's way too old to lead a country. In that sense I feel Trump is too old too, but at least he still seems to have his mental faculties in order.

BTW there were people on here that voted Dem and to call these people narrow minded, like teenage girls, basically say they're idiots is not particularly respectful.

There comes a time when drastic situations call for drastic measures . And only ruthless people can make the ruthless decisions ... this may be beneficial to all or to none !
But murderers walking around in or out the house just does not seem normal ... and armed robbery not being a felony .... what direction is this taking us .... someone has to step up and change direction .... who is it gonna be ???

With all due respect it sounds you get your talking points from cnn. Global warming or global cooling, whatever they call it now has been going on eons before man started emitting fossil fuels into the atmosphere. For anybody to think that man will decide the fate of earth is sacrilege. God ( nature) is the ultimate decider. To not use all the resources available to man to make life better for future generations is sinful. Trump used his time to fix the economy and get more people working than EVER before. And to mention Trump voters as people that don’t think is kind of lame. I think many people that voted for this empty shell of a man( Biden) are wishing they would’ve voted for Trump. Mean tweets and off color jokes is not Brutal. But what this moron president we have now is doing to Americans freedoms is brutal. I agree it is a milkdud like attitude to vote for someone that hid from the media so he wouldn’t have to answer questions instead of voting for the guy that had America running on all cylinders , until China released covid on the world. I think if Trump was still president we would have been all the way back like before the virus.

the prisons are full?.. no, they are not. this entire situation falls flat on the left. This is because of their" reforms"
Just curious are murders in your country allow out under house arrest? what is you position on that? Is that acceptable.? to let thrm out with a just braclet on? If that was your community, would you feel safe?
This has absolutely nothing to do with Trump. He is not ( and has never been) involved in the changing of the criminal laws to this radical extent
This is all the lefts doing. They own it

I really don't know why Trump is inserted into most everything. He has absolutely nothing to do with the post. He is not the President He is not the Democratic administration, Governors, Mayors , Senators and Congress personnel who passed these laws.
At some time that Trump fall back has to stop and people need to take responsibility for their actions.
people will needlessly die because these killers are not off the streets. They are gangbangers.. thugs. They are not going to just " snap out of it and go straight" the retaliation hits will start and everyone in the house where this "murderer under house arrest" is now fair game to be killed.
and that is on the Dems. . they let them out.

regarding the environment I would be glad to discuss that in different post. But I am sure those of the left will not like my view on what the shutting down of the Keystone pipeline actually accomplished .. which was nothing

Most of the prisons and jails are government run, they were pushing to privatize more prisons because our government has ways of over spending and screwing up everything they do. However some of the private prisons were misusing some of the funds or not following the procedures set by the government. I'm not going to say all wardens play by the book, as in any field there are good employees and bad, but they do have standards to follow and their appointments are made by others.
As far as Democrats vs Republican it is very sad the actual candidates both parties put up, but let's face it being president has a lot of down falls as you can see here and not many are willing to put themselves thru that. If people would get more involved in primaries where the party narrows down a hand full of candidates to find just one to put on the ticket we may get a slightly better candidate. A party would not put more then one candidate on the ticket because the votes would be split up, the same can happen when a strong independent runs, they will never get enough votes, but they take away from one party more then another depending on their views, but for most elections voting for a party besides Democrat or Republican is just throwing your vote away. There can rarely be upsets such as when the wrestler Jesse Venture ran as an independent for our state governor and won, but too many voters are brainwashed in sticking to whatever party they have been brought up with like it's some kinda religion.
People who are charged with murder are often offered bail, and if they bail out they can be required to where ankle monitors, or accidentally murder, more often refered to as manslaughter can sometimes be released on house arrest, but for someone who is actually convicted of murder is rarely let out before serving at least half their sentence.
The United States does have a tremendous amount of crime, but take black people out of that equation and it will seem a little more in line to what other countries have, being a melting pot of nationalities and having guns available leads to a higher crime rate, but also our wealth and people's greed leads to many crimes.
Or system does need a big make over, but to stop charging people, or even stop people commiting crimes will snowball into an even bigger mess in a hurry. My solution would be go back to the scarlet letter days. If somebody is caught stealing cut off some fingers like they do in India, if the steal again cut off their hand or arm. Sexual predators could be castrated, or if you neglect your children or can't afford to feed them you could be sterilized. We could be like when the British Empire shipped all it's convicts to Australia, we just got 100k people from Afghanistan, let's do them a favor and send them 100k criminals in return, or send them to Central America because we got a ton of people coming up from there. We could also open our prisons up like a zoo, people would be allowed to poke the prisoners in their cages and yell at them, treat them like the animals they are instead of giving them all the luxuries of home, things to make people think before they go out and commit crimes.
Climate change is much too long to discuss under this topic, and long story short people will always find a way not to get along.

The ankle braclets program was originally set up to allow non violent offenders the ability of home confinement or tracking. Also for tracking those on parole It was mostly used for drug or alcohol type offenses.
The state of Illinois and the city of Chicago have embarked on a bail reduction and reform plan AND has allowed up to the current 3,800 people to be on ankle monitoring. Of those over 2,400 are people arrested for serious violent crimes including shootings, armed robbery, car jacking and murder.
Now these people especially those convicted of murder are facing 25-50 years in prison or life in prison
the penalty for cutting off a bracelet varies but is usually 1 year in prison...on top of your sentence
So, these " leaders" dont think someone who is facing a life in prison won't cut the braclet and take off to commit more crimes?. Or do they think the threat of tacking on 1 year to their sentence is a deterrent.....really?
There are many situations where people have cut off the braclet and committed crimes. including murdering.. again
The ankle braclet program was never meant for extremely dangerous people. They belong in prison. so they can't kill again.
