I think the republicans were voting for the person they were more familiar with. Both choices were bad for NY.. or anywhere for that matter. Mayor-elect Mamdani is proposing government-run grocery stores in some neighborhoods, like how in Michigan they have government-run liquor stores, but New York City won't eliminate privately-owned grocery stores. They'll just have to compete with the non-profit government-run stores. |

Yeah, I don't get how national Republicans thought that Cuomo was going to be a good mayor. Maybe they're just more comfortable with criminals like him, as evidenced by their unquestioning acceptance of DJT, but both Cuomo and Adams were awful candidates and reasonable Republicans checked out a long time ago. Mamdani is bad in a different way, thinking he could bring bus fares down to zero and make rent control work. But at least he's charismatic, which also makes it confusing that Republicans think it's smart to pretend Mamdani's the new leader of the Democrats. No difference between Coumo or Mamdani , both are a bad choice for any elected position. Either way New Yorkers aren’t about to have any relief from the high taxes and prices. We just had a off year election here in the US… The dems just elected a communist for mayor of NYC.. ( unbelievable).. apparently the dems like it when we have high crime, high taxes, illegal aliens running the streets. This commie says he’s gonna make life affordable in NYC . If you can’t afford to live in NYC , you shouldn’t. It’s a expensive city. Two years under this guys rules, they will be ready to vote for success not failure. No idea, I generally don't follow US politics. But from how you write, what you say, it is clear you're an extremist. I don't like extremists regardless what they stand for or what colour of skin or which religion and/or political beliefs. One can have very strong preference and beliefs but with extremism it comes hand in hand with hate and tunnel vision. Such people are beyond reason. I'm not keen on that. You got no idea what you are talking about, but your quick to label , folks like you is what makes division among people. Having opinions that differ from yours isn’t extreme. What’s not to like..He’s building a magnificent ballroom add on to the peoples house and the dems are threatening to tear it down if they ever win again. I found a little way to struggle on with my life. I always see that Trump is most happy with wealthy people. Why is that? Trump is happy around all types of folks, he gets people , unlike the dems we see on tv , they have trouble relating w/ common everyday folks. They are so plastic and unnatural. |

No, I give DJT all the credit for the tariffs that are wrecking our economy. What a difference it makes when we have a president that has a plan and the mental capacity to implement it successfully. Peace in the Middle East, and the world really, with the exception of our own blue run cities here in the U.S. Trump is trying to stop the rampant crime here, while the dems are pushing back to defend the criminals . When will they be in favor of defending the innocent citizens?
