I've read and heard things at the time about Trump that I was totally not in agreement with, some things even appalled me greatly.

But this... the man ain't no fool!!
He even knows what's going on here in The Netherlands with our farmers and the total BS concerning the climate crisis, an EU concoction, and spoke up about it.

Now THAT is great! We need more attention for this problem and what's going on here as it's insane!
In short: our farmers are being forced to reduce their farming (cattle) by 70% as they are made responsible for the nitrogen crisis, that doesn't exist btw. It only seems to exist here, so it's utter nonsense.

In Denmark & Germany they already have trouble with crops not having enough nutritional value anymore as the EU forbids use of nitrogen in fertiliser.
But nitrogen is a necessary part of healthy soil life. Without, for instance in your garden, you get all kinds of weeds growing that bring nitrogen from deeper in the soil to the surface.
Healthy balanced soil to grow crops on needs nitrogen.
Clearly the world leaders (the ones behind the screens) are seriously working controlling us via our food. Something that was predicted 15 yrs ago already. (Codex Alimentarius' secret agenda that every UN member must follow).

. Yes, that is why republicans supported him and still do. He may not be eloquent when speaking but he speaks the truth about liberal governments around the world and the terrible directions they want to take us. If we don’t fight back against this liberal wokeness than none of us are safe.

So the thought here is because he babbled out something one of the (at least) 20 agencies that report to him this time about Europe he's OK?
OUR FOUNDING FATHERS WOULD HAVE ALREADY HUNG HIM!

No Girth, it’s not how he learned of it, it’s that he had the kahonas to say it out loud when it’s not fashionable to call out a government or a union or any big entity that is infringing on peoples rights. That’s how I see it anyway… BTW what would the founding fathers do with joe Biden?

Was that the thought of my post? Maybe read again after you've turned down your reactivity volume.

I agree but this republican vs liberal always confuses me. We don't have republican as we aren't a republic but a monarchy. On top of that, the 3 political parties we have that want the exact change that is needed are also liberal! Can't be anti them as they are the ones fighting for us, our farmers, our people & country!
And yes, the party currently in power that is screwing it all up, following every EU rule, being a leader in that even, is also liberal.
In short: there are liberal parties that want the right thing that is required for us and our planet, and others that keep what's happening going and fuel it, enforce it on us even.

I think the distinction should be fine-tuned to what tune they're dancing to as that's the only thing that matters.
Personally I've never like any US republican president. Too conservative and latching on to obsolete stuff.
I do like some things about Trump, one being he is his own man, doesn't give a rip about what others think, and is a self-made man. But he's also done things that are utterly disgusting and things that would be detrimental to the planet and environment.
However, to hear him speak out about the food situation and what is going on here with our farmers, how far our Dutch government has gone and wants to go... that is absolutely great!

Republican or no, old or no, we need people that see the bigger picture of what's going on, the real game that's being played. So any and all counter-movement to that is welcome and also needed. Globally that is, not just here.
Coming from a public figure in power, with power, is marvellous! Hopefully it seeds awareness.

the problem is people are so used to the deceit and lies ,that come out of most politicians mouths that when , one comes out , with mostly truths , it is hard to comprehend and therefore that person is hated and shunted aside ... of course being the only one does not help at all .... after all its time for the minorities to rule huh !!!! IMO...

Yeah, another problem is that people in general don't give a bleep. Not until it begins to impact their lives and finances.
Many have been warning about what is now going on for years, I have been one of them myself. I've been busy with that with a few others incl. in the UK in 2008.
But since proof was small at the time people aren't interested, don't care, or forget about it the second they get up from their PC.

In that sense we the people also have responsibility. And it takes people being forced into a corner, stripped of rights and freedoms one by one by one, for them to begin to wake up and to react.
And that process in itself -from waking up, shaking their head in disbelief to (re)action- may take several years.
In the meantime the ones pushing this agenda forward go on.

Like over here the masses support the farmers, but so far nothing much has changed, no tangible result. Police interfere instead of using their brain and joining the protests. I mean, it will affect their lives and families just the same.

It is time for change for sure, it's direly needed, but as long as the masses can kind of go on with their perceived merry lives they won't really kick 'n fuss. The minor outcries can easily be ironed out as these outcries have no real power behind them, not a strong spokes-person & leader.

We had Thierry Baudet, he did a helluva lot, great charismatic leader, highly intelligent and eloquent.
The masses, however, weren't awake yet, and thick and they ridiculed and shunned him whenever they could. That includes other politicians btw.
They even invented a name for him and people that follow him: "wappies". A derogatory name indicating that followers are dim. Not understanding that they themselves are the dim ones...

Isn't it ironic, don't you think.
And as long as people put up with all this crap we won't get our change.

Farming has been government controlled for years and the entire farming system is broken. People should care as much or more about farming as they do about global warming.
Corn needs a lot of nitrogen, that's why they put ammonia on the fields, other crops like beans actually put nitrogen back into the ground, but for economics and convenience most farms run a mono crop instead of rotating crops every few years. Only 1% of corn grown is "sweet corn". Here in the US about 40% is used for ethenol and about 45% for feeding live stock. So at your summer BBQ there is more corn used in your hamburger and soft drink then in your ear of corn on the cob, then factor in the amount of corn to get it there. The government gives subsidies to grow corn and produce ethenol. A lot of the corn used to produce ethenol is planted and harvested with fossil fuel, then it's dried and processed with fossil fuel. In the long run not only the costs, but also the benefits of producing ethenol are more harmful then beneficial when you factor in the other factors such as adding nitrogen to the field, using water, polluting the water, and so on.
The live stock is now kept on feeding lots, cows were not designed to eat corn but we feed it to them anyway because it's a "cheap" way to fatten them up. Feed lots release large amounts of methane and other pollution. In nature the animals would graze out in the field and their waste would be repurposed to fertilize the field. But human interaction has redefined how we do things and much of it comes down to money. Believe it or not our food is actually under priced, but these savings have long term costs.
