I never deal with it well. I was a care-giver for 4 years until th day my client passed away. I went into hiding for a while and decided i never wanted to do that ever again. I know they are in a better place and not in pain but that doesnt stop the pain.

My grandmother died last year. Although I'm not even living in the same state and couldn't go the funeral, she knew how I felt. Prayers, faith and tears are what's gotten me through all these years. At the age of 18, almost 19, (and not far from my birthday), I lost a son 28 years ago this year. The best we can do is hold the love for the people we care for in our heart, forever.

It is VERY hard to watch a loved one die. I had to watch my father pass away 2 yrs ago. He was 89. I suggest you talk to others, friends, relatives, even strangers if you're the type who can open up. Time is also a great help. Also there are usually support groups, people who are in the same circumstances as you. Give them a shot. It might be very good for you.

I don't really know how you deal with it, i guess you just do. My boyfriend died unexpectedly 2 years ago, and I am still trying to deal with it! It's been hard for me, but I am doing my best. I just think every day of the good times we shared together, that is all you can do.

Death is a Celebration of life! your giving them a final farewell and remembering them thru stories and pictures. you should not be sad but be happy that they had the life they did no matter how long or short it may have been. sing there favorite song, tell there favorite jokes. there body is gone thats all! there memory will be with you until your time ends.drinker

You stand there and be the strenght that they need and hold their hand as they leave this life. You make sure that you tell them everything you want to express to them, but most of all let them know that you love them.

My heart and prayers go out to everyone that has ever lost a Loved One. God Bless You and know that the Lord is With You.

When my dad was suffering from terminal cancer it was hard to watch. I used to ask God every night to please stop his suffering and take him. Although it was hard to let him go, I know he went to a better place. I had to pray for the acceptance in letting my dad go. brokenheart

First, I want to offer my sympathy.. to you & all involved flowerforyou

There is no easy answer to this. What worked for some does not necessarily work for all. I am no stranger to death, and this past year alone I lost the love of my life, a close friend and my grandmother. The only *benefit* (and I apologize if that comes across as callous or insensitive!) in your situation is that you have the time to say all that you need to say. Use this time to share memories. Use this time to really get to know the person.. so that when the time comes, you do not sit in the misery of *should have*

May the Angels of Peace, Stregnth & Comfort surround you& yours.. and assist you thru this difficult time.

well...When my grannie passed It was hard. I laugh at her now and the things she did.
"Dont cry for me" she said she she started to cry uncontrolably. " I am going to a better place...Its me that needs to be sad and upset...I am leaving you here in this terrible place""
It was the saddest day of my life.
I have been 2 times to the cemetery and cant go because i cant go alone.
Cry...let it out. Talk..to family and friends. Laugh.. at the good times...

or do what I do....NEVER FORGET THAT PERSON!!
