Hey Guys ,I read that pond scum(algae) can keep you alive and in good health. They say it has all the nutrients that we need to be healthy. I guess pond scum helps purify the water, too. Also algae can be dried and powdered and stored up too. And can be added as a filler in other foods. It can also be grown in the city inside your apt, in fish aquariums, go to the flea market and gather up large aquariums cheap , put water in them and start growing your own algae.

sure,if you want to add some knowledge of preparedness..i thought that there would be more people wanting to learn instead of bash..so i've jsut been communicating email with those that are concerned so they will more likely survive, if on the Off chance there is chaos that i've mentioned. if anyone's interested just em me, if not then good journey

aaronlhyric.... You make the statement that you thought "there would be more people wanting to learn instead of bash." That sounds to me, as if you do not want a healthy debate. You want people to agree with you. That is nothing more than a one-sided discussion.

notice the title of the thread is for preparedness, not a debate of whether we should or shouldn't but rather HOW. The only debating that i would like to do in this thread would be on the best ways of doing the things necessary to survive an economic collapse, now stop tryin to waste my time and you'll stop wasting your's seeing as you don't believe any of this anyways. thx

ammo never expires.

WRONG!!!!

Only if properly stored in cool, dry place.

not storing your ammo in a puddle in the basement was a given..but thx for trying to be contrarily ornery.

yo smo, thx i had forgotten about algae..it's blue-green algae only tho cause the rest can be poisonous. when i tried to figure out how to grow it i couldn't find anything but a couple companies selling it,but that's not self-sustainability so i didn't bother but i wonder if some directions have surfaced on the net yet. that and bee pollen are some of the most nutritious foods available. that would be invaluable to learn tho cause you could cultivate it where ever there's a body of water, and algae doesn't take as long to grow as crops and prolly wouldn't take as much energy. average caloric need is 2000 calories a day. to support this with gardening you burn 1000 calories, hunter/gathering takes 500, and if you know what to look for foraging is even more efficient..so a survival guide said, makes since tho that you would expend most energy gardening.
