Hi greeneyedlady42, I love Topeka, used to go there a couple of times a
year, once to shop and once for the state bowling tournament when it is
was held there. LOL... my second husband was a golfer and bowler. We
would stay 4 or 5 days. We would play golf on the days he did not bowl.
On bowling days the wife, gf's would shop, go to the movies and all
that.

I also took my daughter once a year for sightseeing and shopping trips.
Her first trip was to see the state capital and museums. The second
time I took her was for the "Treasures of the Czars" exhibit. It was
fabulous. Although there was usually some reason to go, we did always
SHOP too.

Wichita, Kansas....is maybe the only place I,d leave Los Angeles
for...I love it...the food at speckles....I think its called, boy I
would love to come back there....!

My Dad lived in ColdWater KS. I went there to meet him a few dozen years
ago (when I was preggo with my son) It was a nice little town. Eveyone
knew each other. We had a police esscort to my Dads house by the
sheriff. I thought we were in trouble LOL.

Hi Ontario, I bet you are talking about "Spangles." Maybe... I don't
know how far and wide Spangles goes maybe only a state or two or just
Kansas. It is fast food and for that kind of place really good!

Yep, It's pretty down home here in Kansas even though the Wizard doesn't
