Obviously we know about the intellectual property risks of posting here. I just received this letter on Myspace, almost didn't open it because I thought it might be spam...

The song/poem is entitled Whisper Lullaby.

Subject: I know you don't know who I am

But a friend of mine is trying to figure out who wrote the following poem below. I have Googled it several times using different lines in each search and every time I do, the only thing that comes up is your blog entry, which I'm assuming has this poem in it. If it is at all possible, would you be able to tell me who wrote this poem? Because I can't find the poem anywhere so I don't know who wrote it. Thanks.

Sun has shown its final ray and night begins to fall
You shine blue from star and moon, I wonder at it all
Scent of autumn’s rise to grandeur; silent as a pall

Life’s a circle; I am coming back to you again
There is nothing that could keep me, out or from within
I am nothing, you can’t fix me; don’t know where I’ve been

Darkness coming, I’ll be with you in the light of day
I will cover; shield you from it never go away
I’ll be back though you will whisper, think I’ve gone away

Whisper only, you don’t know me; you may never still
I’ll be here to mend the void that you may never fill
In the moonlight, whisper only, imperfections fade
Past forgotten, we are nothing but the faults we’ve made
In the darkness I know nothing but the words you say
I’ll be with you, standing by you, even in the day"

Note: I released these lyrics twice, over a year ago.
