Topic: Smiless Question Number 7. | |
---|---|
Why are things the way they are? How should things be ideally? What is the good life —for the individual and for the many (society)? What would a Utopian society, a heaven on earth, be like? Is it even possible to create a Utopia? If so, how? Would not a Utopia assure personal freedom? What, then, should you do with those who don’t cooperate and violate the Utopian system? If you control or punish them, is there no longer a Utopia?

Why are things the way they are?
Because they are. How should things be ideally? There should be a free soda pop and icecream stand on every corner. What is the good life —for the individual and for the many (society)? The good life is the life that passes you by whilst you're typing in these questions. What would a Utopian society, a heaven on earth, be like? Is it even possible to create a Utopia? No it's not possible to create a Utopia. For if everything were prefect then nothing would be left needing done. And if nothing needed to be done, there would be nothing worth doing. If so, how? Would not a Utopia assure personal freedom? Utopia would be no freedom at all. That may not seem like utopia, but if you had the freedom to do anything outside of the perfection of that utopia then it would no longer be a utopia. What, then, should you do with those who don’t cooperate and violate the Utopian system? Well, that's the whole point. If anyone actually wanted to do something that was against the so-called utopia then it must not be utopia for them. This has always been my arguement against the Christian myth of a supposedly perfect heaven. It is written that a third of God's angles rebelled against his so-called 'Perfect' heaven. Well, clearly it must not have been utopia for them. Thus utopia becomes nothing more than a subjective dictatorship. If you control or punish them, is there no longer a Utopia? Christians believe you can have both. Just send the evil people to a place called Hell, and then go to heaven and party down and forget about the people who are suffering in hell. In other words, they have no problem just ignoring pain and agony as long as it isn't happening to THEM. I find this to be very ironic becuase a lot of Christians complain about all the pain and suffering in this world. But for some strange reason they have no problem going to a perfect heaven whilst countless souls are being tortured in hell. Out of sight out of mind I guess. Clearly its a religion for people who only give a rats ass about their own butts. Sorry for those who don't like my views. But this has to be stated when the topic of utopia comes up because it's truly a farce idea. There can be no such thing as a utopia with a Hell just down the street. That's absurd. A mother in a perfect heaven, her children in the hell below? What kind of a perfect heaven would that be for the mother? It wouldn't be heaven at all. It would be pure hell. You may as well send the mother to the place of agony to be with her children. I'm sure she'd rather be suffering with them than worshiping some pompous egotistical God who lusts to be the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You really struck a cord with this one smiless. ![]() The arrogance of Christian hypocrisy. ![]() |

That was the best answer, in fact is was my first question to this site, I think.. hmmmm |
