My name is Shawn and I'm 44 years old, I've lived here in Charles City in north central Iowa for most of my life and am here looking for that special someone to talk to and get to know and see where it takes us. I have a 19 yr old daughter with my ex wife and a 12 year old daughter with an ex girlfriend. I was a welder for many many years but my knees are now shot and I injured my back so now am unable to work and I'm drawing social security disability, I know that's probably quite the turn off as Id found from others I've talked to so if your not interested then I'd understand of course but at least I was honest and upfront about it right away. Don't get me wrong, I am very active, and not wheelchair bound or anything like that and yes can still be intimate. I'm still able to do most anything that anyone else can though maybe slower or for not as long. I'm here looking for that special someone to talk to and get to know and see where it takes us. I'm very outgoing and like making others happy and I'm a very sincere and genuine person so no games from me. Some of my interests are playing pool, reading a good book, camping, fishing, target shooting at the range, swimming, bonfires, kissing and cuddling is always nice, watching movies - especially scary ones, exploring abandoned places, walking around old car salvage yards, dining out occasionally, playing computer games or watching stuff of interest on youtube. I also like working on and restoring older cars. I could really use some company hanging out in the garage sometime. Hopefully your not afraid of a little grease and grime. In the very least you could hand me tools or just be there to chitchat with. I'm a very loving, caring, compassionate person and wear my heart on my sleeve. I'd do anything for a friend or loved one and likely would do the same for a stranger in need. I'm always there when needed and can be counted on in life. I'd like a woman who knows what she wants in life, can possibly relocate if things got serious but I'm not totally opposed to relocating myself. Someone who knows how to treat a guy and be sure to get that treatment in return from me. I'd prefer a woman who's a lil " thick and curvy". I'm not exactly skinny myself and have a bit of a tummy but who doesn't anymore. They laugh a lot, smile knowingly at each other, flirt with each other, and razz each other playfully. When people see them in public places they notice the electricity between them and feel a pang of jealousy. Others feel a little like intruders because no one else exists for those two people. These two people share inside jokes. They share information freely with each other. They practice habitual and mutual respect and consideration for the other's well-being, emotionally, physically, mentally, financially and socially. They share a passion for life and for each other. They both understand that communication is detrimental to the success of any relationship. They understand that misunderstandings and lack of communication causes dramatic and hurtful scenarios. They do little things for each other that lets the other know that they were thinking of them. They are honest with each other but not brutally honest. They compliment each other frequently. They make each other laugh when the world makes them cry. They know how to ease stress off of each other. They make each other's lives easier. The only thing they want to do at the end of the day is wrap their arms around each other and forget about how harsh the world can be. That's what I want. I'm not sure what love is, but I can tell you what it means to me. The meaning of Love to me is.....When all you think about is her and every night that she goes to bed you stay up a few minutes longer just to watch her sleep and hear her softly breathe. When you get in a fight with her out of nowhere you both start to laugh because you don't know why you are fighting. Love is like a carpet ride that never ends you feel free, Like you are on top of the world and every time you look into her eyes you see Your children and there children you can see the love she has for you, you see everything that means something to you and whenever she is near you your heart goes wild and you feel Butterflies in your stomach. Love is something that cannot be put into words. It's a natural high that you never come down from. So is this the true meaning of love? I don't know, But it sounds like the closest thing to love to me.
