Dear past/present/future host/surfer, who is reading my profile right now. My name is Khairul. I'm gay (out and proud to be one). Being out to my close friends and family back in college is one of the most liberating things that I have done so far. I just thought I'd share that right from the beginning to make things clear, to set expectations and also to avoid those awkward chats about girls, girlfriend, ex-girlfriends, fiancee and kids in the future. But hey, who knows about kids right? I'm not yet closing my doors on that one. Definitely straight friendly here though, sweet, thoughtful, funny (even with my corny jokes), positive, friendly, loves to party every once in a while, easy to get along with and good with socializing with people. I think I am at my best when I'm with a crowd. Not to brag or anything but sometimes, the party "ain't the party" without me. So, what do I do for a living? I`m graduate in Bachelor of hospitality and tourism management and I`m Sales Coordinator in Hyatt Regency Kinabalu . This job has taught me a lot of things and has helped me grow a lot as a person. I deal with a lot of people from all paths of life, it has opened my eyes and heart to be a more people person, reach out to others, have more patience and to be more understanding that each and every person is created uniquely from one another. Honestly, this is not the job that I desired to have but this is where I ended up with. If you're going to ask me if I regret it? No regrets at all. Just this May of 2011, I took on my first solo adventure. I visited several ASEAN countries namely Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand,Singapore,Vietnam and Saudi Arabia. It was my first time to travel by myself, so this is really a big step for me (to think that I am already 29 yo, it's not yet too late!). After taking this trip, I gained a lot of experience, such experience that I really needed in my life to become a much better person. I met a lot of interesting and unique people, visited amazing places, got immersed in different cultures, captured precious moments and most of all, experienced how rough and tough life is in different parts of the world. Then I said to myself "I am not alone after all.." It's more fun in the Kota Kinabalu,Sabah.
