Hey, I am on here to get to know people because every time I do it in real life I seem to get the liars, cheaters and the full of ****. It's been fantastic. I am a really simple human being and I like trying new things. Taught myself to bake and if I had to give myself a grade, it would be a D-, so if you're a baking afficiando, help me. I recently finished a collection of poetry and am currently in the marketing phase which is fantastic because, since I know disappointment so well, the stampede or rejections coming m yway will be easy to swallow. My philosophies and political leanings vary between "who really cares, we're all f**** anyway, so let's just grab a beer" and "I can save the world if I really try" so I grab a beer to think about how, than usually forget. As you can see, I'm not exactly long-term relationship material. Am I good under the covers? Yes, I would say that with confidence, I am very good at that. But I'm strange, twisted by my upbringing so I usually turn people off or get turned off, mostly the latter, within 2 or 3 weeks. I am quite the romantic, I have a bassy singing voice and I love classic love songs so I can serenade you all day while I make some breakfast, the meal I am like Bobby Flay at cooking. Either way, I'm not on here to get laid. I just want to meet someone interesting, who will actually take the time to listen to what I have to say and what I think. I've been a good friend to people who I just let go on and on about their lives, offering no criticism, advice or condolences. I just listen. Yet, for some reason, I have only every gotten that treatment from one person and she betrayed me in the worst way imaginable. So I am pretty vulnerable, as it's probably glaringly obvious. In summary, I really would just like to get to know someone who's similar to me, and likes poetry or just art and making stupid jokes about anything from politics to whales and penguins fornicating.
