Here's a little bit about me: I love to laugh and have a dry sense of humor--I enjoy a good witty battle. I am also serious when I need to be, though. In a big group of new people I can be a bit shy, but I'm not a wallflower either. It just takes a bit for me to warm up. I like to keep busy, so I have a lot of hobbies. I would really like to be more spontaneous, but I have this sense of duty that keeps me pretty grounded...maybe if I met the right person?? :-) I love the arts, especially music. I am learning how to play the clarinet and i'm a singer in my own right. I also enjoy going to concerts and musicals. I am a runner; I've been running for several years now...this summer I ran a 10 miler while on vacation, with plans to do more in the fall. I don't think I'll ever do a full marathon...I have the ability (I think), it just sounds a bit boring to run for 26 miles...13 is my limit for now! I also do Pilates. Watching TV and reading are my go-to relaxation activities. I'm really into Black history, especially the slave trade, so I read a lot about that. My other favorites are mystery and fantasy for reading, and crime shows for TV. I LOVE my job. I teach 6th Grade Language Arts and I love watching my students transform from kids to adolescents during the year. I also love my subject. At school I am also the Drama Club director, which is a ton of fun. My students are my "mission field," and they really are 'my' kids in a lot of ways. I know I teach them things, but they teach me just as much. I am looking for a marriage partner--someone to fall in love with. Authenticity is an important quality to me--be who you are and be real about everything in your life, the good and the not-so good. I want to find someone who is a Christian and wants to start a family. Other qualities I look for are integrity, openness, a sharp sense of humor, optimism, and love for life. For age range, it's not a hard-and-fast rule, but I am looking for someone between 35 and 60. I would be willing to do a semi-long distance relationship as long as we are within driving distance! I am here for a lifetime partner so if you are not sure what you want or just fishing I am not the one for you. I prefer a born again believer who lives according to bible's guidance. I am a believer who is serious about my walk with God. Looking for a believer who is focused, ambitious and loves the lord. I am not a size zero so if you looking for someone on the slimmer side then I'm probably not the one for you, Also, I am open to someone of any race as long as they love the lord. I don't believe love sees color anyways however I do understand there must be attraction.
