I recently lost my fiancee, a woman I was with for 14 years. Arlene died from issues stemming from a massive stroke. Our beloved dog, Smudge, and I have to restart our lives without Arlene. I decided to move back to Maine to be closer to my sister. It is a unsettling to have to restart your life at 55 years of age, I thought Arlene and I would grow old together, but sadly that is not to be. I am not sure how to go on at the moment but perhaps having a fresh start in Maine will kick start the next chapter of my life.
