Each of my 6 children are adults who are happy, healthy and strong. 4 already have careers that they love. A healthy mating relationship is not 50/50. Each person should favor the other's interests, perhaps 60% the other and 40% oneself. Learning to accept the other is one big key. You should get no pressure to change, yet plenty of support when change is what you want. Arguing and fighting have no place in a healthy relationship. Disagreeing is not the same as arguing.
