As for my beliefs, I find it hard to fathom that this one planet contained in a universe so large that we can't concieve or even see the ends of it, is the absolute center for some moral playground where we try to gain the grace of an entity which purportedly made us and already loves us, with a handy structured set of expected actions already printed out, that has I'm quite sure an authentic claim of authorship. If you do these things this way, say these things that way, then you've got it made, you're "saved"? And that's what I'm expected to believe, that there is no other purpose for my life and my choices. who expects you to believe such? and why would you care? I was referring to the religions under the Judeo-Christian umbrella i.e. Christianity, Catholic,Baptist, Islam, Muslim....on and on. Why would I care???? I thought this was a platform to express ideas and to share opinions with others?? I'm sure there are other salient points I could toss in here about why I care, but I'll be like a religion and 'keep it a mystery'

As for as agnostic, here you believe that there is some 'god' or whatever defintion you want to attach, but you can never understand or know this entity, you cant prove it exists. Soft and Firm, Weak and Strong.....whatta riot yet another who remains ignorant of the definition of agnostic. agnostics not only don't "believe that there is some 'god' or whatever" we give the issue no thought at all. if everything is unknowable to an agnostic, it's absurd for you to claim we believe in anything. So I guess everything is clear after all???? |

Scarlet fever wore herself past the velvet ropes into the spiritual Cancer department - past patients paid with patience, past white nurses in white dresses with white eyes smoking sun-black Newports and smiling inwardly towards the Psyche ward. Great style
