It's so true jean...and it's more than self reliance, health, allowing
ourselves a treat once in a while....it's the hardest
thing of all....forgiveness. Yep, Giving yourself a break every once in
a while. Strive for excellence, but laugh, pick yourself back up, pat
yourself on the back for trying even if you fail.

noway AND STOP BEING SO SELF CRITICAL!! and stop comparing.

laugh aside from all the metaphors, I just wanted to see if I could BE
so scizophrenic here and sure enough........
...I (QUITE LITERALLY) added myself to my own friends list.

drinker Cheers to JSH for allowing us to be our own friend!

Although I STILL don't ALWAYS do the kindest things to the friend in me
I decided......I AM.

So I sent myself a Friend Requests and it took a bit of consideration,
but after some thought, I accepted.

I got a friend in me.happy

A koala bear walks into a bar, sits down and orders a sandwich.

After he eats the sandwich, he pulls a pistol out of his pouch, shoots
the piano player and proceeds to walk out of the bar.

The bartender, in shock, shouts to the koala, "Hey, who do you think you
are? What was that all about."

The Koala replies, "Hey, I'm a koala. Look it up."

The frustrated bartender pulls a dictionary from behind the bar and
looks up Koala: "N. A marsupial that eats shoots and leaves."

Because I'm a flippant judgemental jerk.

I had always thought that dating sites...well I'm not sure what I
thought about dating sites..but..chatrooms were for...

petty, gossipy, busybody, Bob Barker watchin, bonbon eating,
in robe and hair in curlers til 2 just in time for General Hospital set

or creepy, trenchcoat, porn seeking pervs..I just didn't know.

I got on a different site b4 jsh and at the time it was terrific and I
was astounded. There were brilliant people, sensitive people, all walks
of life, many perspectives...well like it is here.

Within a month and a half I was off to meet someone in Europe
(plutonic). Yep, just a friend.

Oh yah grumble ya frickin windbag

I like a little debate but not much. Religion and politics are usually
too personal and heated.

I LOVE clever banter and really intelligent...but inane comedy.
Oxy-Moron I know, but I have met some brilliant people who can pull it
off.

Also important to listen to a world full of perspectives.

Friends, Banter, Listening (I guess I could have just said THAT huh)

Do you remember the first book that really conveyed the craziness
of war..I do.

The Houston Chronicle States:

NEW YORK — Kurt Vonnegut, the satirical novelist who captured the
absurdity of war and questioned the advances of science in darkly
humorous works such as "Slaughterhouse-Five" and "Cat's Cradle," died
Wednesday. He was 84.
