SparklingCrystal, I love your tree! Perfect timing finding more roses for it. As far as decorating for holidays, I used to be a fan when TheKid was a child. The day after, I would put everything away. Too much "visual clutter" and "noise" for minimalism me. Havent decorated in a very long time. The holidays are a stressor for me. Trader Joe's has an adorable, live Charlie Brown Christmas/Yule tree. It would fit perfectly on the fireplace mantel. Concerned ZoeCat would jump up and try to eat the needles.

As far as I am concerned, the house is decorated, even if I am an atheist. It is for the sake of my Dad, because it is the first Christmas without him. |
