Good Luck in your endeavors. It is a noble undertaking, and good luck with the last two books in the series. You stated you were almost done with them, so maybe it be possible to finish them. Although it is harder with time constraints, and because they want you to write in a certain way.

It is an achievement, regardless of the genre.

You actually published 1 book, sent the 2nd in, and now they are deciding whether to publish it contingent upon whether and when they receive completed 3rd or 4th books?

Yes, that is a lot of pressure, especially if there's a time constraint.
It is ironic that you already put in all the work and completed the 2nd book, but can only profit from it now if you write 2 more books, within certain parameters.
