When men realize that women are just as capable of doing anything they can do, except perhaps piss our names in the snow neatly (give us enough time to practise and we can even do that) the much better off this world would be.

Actually some of us realized that at a VERY young age, when women (and people in general) stop generalizing about gender only then will this world be a MUCH better place.

Actually I love older country, like Cash for example, back then it was almost more blues than country in some instances. I was just being a smartass to make a point. Funny thing is, I'll go out of my way to listen to styles I don't even like, top 40 stuff, "pop" country, Marilyn Manson etc. as I try to keep an open mind and soak in everything as it translates to my playing guitar or whatever later on down the road, it's sad how many people dismiss rap or some other style of music based off a few lousy songs played on the radio or some rumor or lyric that struck them the wrong way. Morrison talks about killing his dad in "The End" ("...father...I want to kill you...") and talks most of the way through the song but it's cool since it's not rap right? Since it's "The Doors" etc etc I guess that makes it okay, lyrically I could find a buhzillion more rock and country songs (and other genre's for that matter, even children's music can be taken out of context lol)) that are far more offensive than rap, but since people have a tendency to strike down and mock what they don't understand, rap takes the biggest hit. I still think it's all music though, even if I don't like some of it.

best country music

Those three words don't even have any business being in the same sentence together, let alone the same breath.

I also operate above the level of others and have to come down to YOUR level so I can be Socially Acceptable.

It is music, sure some of it is lame (every genre has it's garbage) but I call it music. I play a load of instruments and have been in several bands, there's not much difference between the traditional "music" we were playing, and the same music that is played live by rap artists. I have seen some rap acts where all they do is rap over pre-recorded music (like lip synching), but then again, some of the biggest acts that are supposed to be "real" music have been busted doing the same thing.

There are a lot of acts that use real instruments in their gigs and on their albums (N.E.R.D for example, The Fugees, OutKast, and on and on to the break of dawn.... haha ) so I'd say it's music, just because it's been overrun by lots of REALLY lame mainstream acts over the past few years doesn't mean it's not music, by some people's logic in these posts I could call a lot of other stuff "not music" as well. bigsmile

It sounds to me like she is using you as a plan b, so whenever the person she's really interested in is not around, she has you to fall back on. I say bail on that, let her torture some other poor guy with her mind games and manipulation.

I'm disappointed they're scrapping the shuttle too soon and relying on other countries while they finish the next one, I don't think that's a good call at all.

They are not scrapping the shuttle too soon. It's too old and needs to go. We only have 2 of 4 left and we can't risk any more terrible disasters like Columbia and Challenger. The problem is they didn't get the new one up and running fast enough.

I just don't like the idea of relying on other countries to get to the space station, granted it is old and needing replacement, I wish they would have handled replacing it better so we're not stuck etc.

Not scared at all, if anything, I find in my experience it's always the women who don't want commitment, my last relationship completely exploded because the girl I was seeing was playing me while seeing some other guy, it was awesome, nice "commitment" there huh? bigsmile laugh
