Struggling to make ends meet
Trying my best to fulfill my dreams
Obstacles arising oh so high
It will take a space rocket to pass it by.

No job! The unemployment office say
To get by I need to make my own way
Happiness is such a lost word
Existing not within my world.

I came home and opened my door
Her note fell across the floor
I read it with tears in mine eyes
She’s leaving me for the guy in the heights.

Broken, I fell to the floor
My whole world spinning out of control
I lay there as time passes by
Having no desire to even try.

After what seem and eternity
I saw my world, the way it should be
My big break came just like I envisioned
Material possession flowing without obstruction.

The true reality is at the end of the day
Happiness lie within oneself
All the added commodities are nice to have
But you can’t buy happiness so don’t even try.
