the bottom line is.. marriage should be between the two that are in love and their choice BUT as we age and go into retirement when you're not married and one spouse dies it leaves the other without social security to help them survive.. that is a scary thought for the elderly that aren't married but just living together.. I got 33 years to go before I get married

Really necessary? Whats wrong with just living together without signing any legal paperwork? I've done it both ways. To date, divorce has been cheaper. One ex-gf sued me for back pay $4980, and the judge said, what for? As for the loyalty that is supposed to come with marriage, I've had just as much loyalty either way, but am thinking my IQ has dropped like a rock twice.

Marriage is still a commitment with God as your witness and invited guest of honor. I don't know anymore how to do this stuff. I've been so solidly single for just over ten years. I'm so used to being by myself, I hope I can share what I have, and let go of my fears, GOD willing.......   Fear of what? A friend once defined intimacy as "Into me see". The only real difference between being married and living in sin is the stygma that one doesn't get by being married and divorced 5 times.  It's sortof ironic that people who believe in no sex before marriage end up getting married to have sex and then find out they hate the other person. I say, test the waters, long term, and as long as you can get away with it or until the wabbit dies. On a similar note, isn't the dad the real bastard when he bails on the kid, and yet the kid gets the label? Something's just wrong with this label. |

You sound bitter but one of the advantages of getting married so that your kids dont end up becoming BASTARDS (for a lack of better words) and its sad that people dont believe in marriage..........but I used to be a divorcee who believed that but I have started to see the benefits of marriage outweigh the so called committed relationship.......... Oh so cynical you are what every woman wants I cant will this argument you are def stubborn and hardheaded...........lol Men have no benefits when it comes to mariage......And if you belive kids are bastards because the man and woman dosent get married thats your opinion I think that is what a child out of wedlock used to be called .............there is a benefit in being married especially when you get old and no young woman wants to be near you or touch you so who you going to turn to who ,your wife to wipe your wrinkled and delapitated butt..........and this is true since we live longer than you............. I'll take my chances |

Thats what Life insurance is for...take care of your loved ones. Dont have any kids yet but when I do, they'll be taken care of |
