So I got an e-mail today from another site, saying that someone had picked me for their version of Mutual Match, which is basically like the one here, only without the "Maybe" button. Why have three options when you can have two? it only confuses people.

Theirs is called "Meet Me" -- yeah, like that's gonna happen -- but being bored and having gotten used to the logistics of pressing a "No" button 148 million times in a row, I figured I'd take a look at what they had to offer....

Roughly half of the profiles showed a picture of a baby or babies, and I am not exaggerating (well, maybe a little). About half were written in some sort of arcane ghetto language with 9s for Gs or something -- it looked more like some hellish algebraic dilemma than any kind of "English" I've ever seen....

And then there are the ubiquitous group shots where they never bother to tell you which one is actually looking for a date -- there was one, with three girls, one was absolutely adorable, the other two looked like Godzilla's parents on steroids.

Frankly, I don't like those odds.

I found three that I could give a sort of half-hearted Yes to, knowing all the while that their pictures are probably fake and they will all end up being my ex-mother-in-law.

Still, it really gives me a greater appreciation for all the people who ignore me right here at home....

I did the same thing here. I never go into the mutal matches, because like you, I think, a snowball's chance in hell,,

But I was bored,,,,

I 've personally had no luck with it, thats why I make fun of it, But I think I'm going to go back to one of the other sites where there are more locals & see what happens.

Not to worry, I'm not going anywhere. Except maybe to Arby's.
