lonley, bitter, uneventful
the journey that was being walked alone
seemed like there was nothing to look forward too
same routine, kid to school, off to work, and head for home

secretly praying at night before drifting off to sleep
please god, no more lies, no more cheats, please god
send someone special for me to keep

time passing me by, at a speed i couldnt reach
falling more into this routine of which i had now accepted
to be known as my life
anticipation and hope, became something of the past
my journey of life, passing by so fast.

then one day, i slowed down for just a brief moment
to stop, look around, and take in all that i had been missing for to long.
from somewhere unknown to me, you appeared, swept me off my feet, and i knew something special is what i had found.

kind, caring, my calm after the storm
anticipation, and hope crapt its way back in
our love seemed to grow to heights unknown
and then the journey of our future began

the journey that was once walked alone
was now being walked as one, but together
and with this came the comfort of knowing
it would be this way forever

the journey was now complete
a life had now been fulfilled
the journey cannont be taken if weak
only when you are ready to test your heart and will.
