I made my choice, Talked to my folks. I made my calls.
Received my special training behind these USMC walls.
Now living in combat everyday, in this land so far away.
Letters written and read. PRAYING each day I don't end up dead.
Protecting my country and trying to help these people live free.
I lost three bro's in attacks. Thinking it could have been me.
Six more months living in this sand, here in this hostle land.

I am sad and weepy today..

I only saw my son for a little over the past 2 days..Happy I got to see him of course..

But he is leaving to go back to C Lejuene in about 3 hours..to get back in time..

Everytime I get to see him I am excited..When he leaves..I get sad for a few days..

Not looking for pity..

But he is going to Iraq beginning of Sept...

I am a mom...A Marine Mom...and even with Honor..it still is heartbreaking..
