So I performed my solo for my troupe leader tonight. (the show is in 3 weeks) and she liked it! She pointed out some things I needed to work on. But I knew most of them. And she showed me a way to make one step more interesting and unusual and go with my music.

I'm so excited for this. I think I'm going to find all my stuff for tomorrow night's sewing session and work on some of my costuming tonight.

Maybe run through the modification again to make sure I have it down in my head.

I'm so excited, I just has to share with everyone.

For people who don't know, I do American Tribal Style and Gothic Fusion Belly Dancing. Been taking lessons for one and a half years. My first show and my first self-choreographed piece and my first solo all at the same time.

I drummed for traditional African dances for 8 yrs.
and am learning rhythms for belly dancers now.
I graduated from Belleview University 2007
