So, if you live in Colorado you will be able to vote on an amendment that gives an embryo personhood and all the rights associated with a fully functioning independent human being in November.

The pro-life folks see this legislation as a way to bring the issue back to the U.S. Supreme Court. How many lives, real lives not maybe lives of undeveloped, unborn embryos, will be ruined by this amendment if it becomes law?

What many people fail to consider is that if passed some forms of birth control like IUD's and the pill will be illegal. It will deny women the right to abortion because they will be killing a person. Even if the pregnancy will kill the pregnant woman. (Keep in mind...dead mother the embryo isn't going to develop into a human being) A potential mother who slipped and fell resulting in a miscarriage could be charged with manslaughter.

I challenge the people behind this amendment to walk the walk. Care about babies? Put your money into caring for pregnant women and children, help provide those already here with safe homes and educations.

Well and like I said many times, when all the foster care kids are adopted and we have no more children homeless and familyless then we can talk about undoing abortion but until then a woman has the right to choose. Too many children in this world already who suffer, all those religious folks who are against abortion need to open their doors and pocket books for all these children, if they care so much.

I say since we have the technology today, why don't we start implanting the unwanted embryos into these religious women who do not want abortions and then they can have the child and take care of it for all of it's life and we can keep them on rotation, each gets a turn until all have been given one and then we will start again. All of these religious women should be EXTREMELY HAPPY TO HAVE SAVED ALL THOSE BABIES AND TO CARE FOR THEM FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES, RIGHT?

haha Gee if it could be done I would be all for it. But gosh why stop at implanting them into women? If it were medically possible I'd say implant them into men too.

I once heard a comic say some time ago that if men could become pregnant we would have a 100% affective method of birth control available by now.

I agree. And that comic was very right on. Was it George Carlin? I thought I remembered him saying something along those lines too.

I say you don't get to pick and choose who lives & dies. That's the same mindset that the German Nazies had about Jews.

Life doesn't get anymore innocent than life in the womb. When people start having the self respect to not be having unwanted babies then maybe many problems DUMPED ON society might not be.

Not to mention that embryonic research is a waste of tax payer money.

Quikstepper I am sure, after reading your many posts, that you think any research is a waste of time and money.

So, have you ever had unprotected sex, an etopic pregnancy, been raped and impregnated, or discovered you were going to have a child so compromised by birth defects that it would suffer and die?

From your post, "When people start having the self respect to not be having unwanted babies then maybe many problems DUMPED ON society might not be."

Many people don't want to have unwanted babies but you want to force them to. Please pick a position?

So, let me understand this. You don't think women should be able to chose abortion but...you don't want to people to have unwanted babies. You don't think women should be able to chose abortion but...you see the product of conception and pregnancy, your fellow human beings as something "DUMPED ON society"?

If you don't get it that's your problem...not mine.
