I fill in for a local doctor on occasion. He and his wife are awesome people. Their youngest son, 18 y/o, would have been 19 in September, went to work for the park service to fight fires this summer. Last Friday he was flown to a fire outside Redding, CA. He was on a "mop up" crew and a tree fell on him and he was killed - 2 hours after arriving at the fire, his first fire. His family and friends are devastated, of course. Please say a prayer for his family and friends.

ouch they have my prayers my sisters ex bf work for the forest fires and im not sure if he was there but he may had

Thank you all, he was not your normal 18 y/o. He was hardworking, was even a "Big Brother" to a kid in our community. He was going to college in September and was just doing this job to make some extra money. The family started a scholarship at the school for him, and the park service has set up some kind of scholarship too in his memory.

thats sad and scary my 19 y/o son went to New Orleans to clean oil rigs and oil spills............... every night and day............I pray.
