A TRUE Christian KNOWS that xmas is of pagan origin.
That's the beauty of Christianity for people who love Holy Wars. Should the world ever be converted entirely to Christianity and there are no more "unbelievers" to hate, the Christians will turn on themselves in a new Holy War of "TRUE christians" versus "FAKE Christians" Of course, they'll all claim to be "TRUE Christians". So it will first come down to the Catholics versus the Protestants. Then when all the Catholics have been conquered it will become a humongus Holy War between all the different denominations of Christianity until one denomination stands as the lone winner. They will finally get to claim that they hold the only true word of God, only because there won't be anyone left to argue with them.

Christmas has Pagan origions as Yule. Just as well as Easter. Where do you thnk the concept of bunnies and brightly colored eggs came from? You dont find that in church now do ya? Unless you have a fun church.
Yule (Winter Solstice) - circa December 20-23 Yule is a time of rebirth and renewal. At Yule, the Goddess gives birth to her son, the God who is symbolized by the sun. His birth brings hope and the promise of the coming summer. Yule is a remnant of older rituals which hurried the end of winter and the coming of spring. |

I'VE FOUND THE COOLEST NEW RELIGION. BETTER THAN PANTHEISM,SCIENTOLOGY, AND WICCA COMBINED .
The Church Of The SubGenius is an order of Scoffers and Blasphemers, dedicated to Total Slack, delving into Mockery Science, Sadofuturistics, Megaphysics, Scatalography, Schizophreniatrics, Morealism, Sarcastrophy, Cynisacreligion, Apocolyptionomy, ESPectorationalism, Hypno-Pediatrics, Subliminalism, Satyriology, Disto-Utopianity, Sardonicology, Fascetiouism, Ridiculophagy, and Miscellatheistic Theology. |

It has not been the Christians on the forum who have been claiming what the bible says about the Holy Spirit Oh but that's not true Eljay. It most certainly has been "Christians" who have been claiming that those who do not accept that Jesus is God are rejecting God. All responses by non-believers are ultimately a defensive response to that erroneous claim. That is the accusation that is ultimately being challenged by non-believers. As soon as Christian climb down off their holier-than-thou view that they are on "God's side" and non-believers are "against God" then there would no longer be a problem. To doubt the bible is not the same as rejecting God. Period. And the only reference I made to the scriptures was on that single point that even the main prophet of the Bible, Jesus Christ himself, does not support the Christian view! Christianity has become a train-wreck of a religion. It preaches things that don't even agree with it's own doctrine. |

The eggs at easter represent fertility, for the fertility goddess. Yet here we have so called Christians claiming it as Biblical. Hilarious!!!

Well I guess it’s partly been adopted by Christianity though as well. Easter Sunday. But the same thing happened with Yule becoming Christmas. It’s happened with several holidays in fact. They are all excuses to party.
I would imagine Yule for the ancient Pagans well before the advent of Christendom, would have a LARGE festival to help them get though the cold, dark Winter and hurry forth the coming Spring.

Your wrong again, as usual. The entire thing came from the Hebrews who were around since the beginings of recorded history.

Last time I checked it said CHRISTMASS on U.S. calendars. You get Christmas off not krishnaday off in December. Christmas and Easter are recognized by Federal, Sate and Local governments in the U.S.A. So no leg for you to stand on. Hey the pagans got Halloween right. At least Jesus loves us enough to give us the day off. Haaa Haaaa!!!! My mistake. I was under the impression that you were a Bible believing individual. You do as the Federal, state & Local government commands you, and as for me and my house I'll will stick to what the Bible says. Shalom! Yeh right…Please . Do you actually read these post or do you just make it up as you go. I was talking about Christmas being a recognized holiday by more than just Christians. Even Jews recognize Jesus as a Profit. Yes, I am reading what you have posted. However it doesn't make any sense. A TRUE Christian does not acknowledge xmas. A TRUE Christian KNOWS that xmas is of pagan origin. Dec 25th has nothing to do with the Messiah, it is a pagan festival. You are fighting for your right to celebrate a pagan festival. Do you understand? Yes it's true Jews always recognize a profit. However most Jews do not consider the Messiah a Prophet. Shalom. I don’t know what x-mass is but CHRIST-Mass is the celebration of Christ birth. Just because it falls on the same day as some druid holiday doesn’t mean it was hijacked by Christians. |

The Facts:
The Jewish people were once called the Hebrews and all of these holidays were celebrated by them. The Hebrew culture goes almost all the way back to beginings of recorded history.

Actually I've got news for you about your ancient Hebrews. The Hebrew Goddess is a 1967 book by Jewish historian and anthropologist Raphael Patai. In this book, Patai argues that the Jewish religion historically had elements of polytheism, especially the worship of goddesses and a cult of the mother goddess. The book supports the theory through the interpretation of archaeological and textual sources as evidence for veneration of feminine beings. Hebrew "goddesses" identified in the book include Asherah, Anath, Astarte, Ashima, the cherubim in Solomon's Temple, the Matronit (Shekhina), and the personified Shabbat Bride. The later editions of the book were expanded to include recent archaeological discoveries and the rituals of unification (Yichudim) which are to unite God with his Shekinah. |

Paganism was a low religion of barbarians and never contributed anything of value to human society as far as anyone can tell. I know there are a bunch of people who believe some bunch of Scientology stuff from the 1960s who call themselves pagans.
