im moving into my friends apt. this april, my first move, kinda scared.
but think it will be good. my mom is sad, but happy. although im scared,
i will feel like a real adult, though when i say i live at home, people
think freeloader, yet i am the only on working. i will still pay moms
bills. and shop 4 her. but i would like the independence. it would be
nice to bring a guy home and not have to pass by mom watching tv. well,
any advice for a newbie movin out. i know get all reciepts for cash rent
payments, friend or not, im not going end up on judge judy.

keep an eye on your roomy b/f's were safer around your mom !!!!

jsut be prepared for a different kind of stress but dont let it get to

if i was u , i wd get m a comcorder, jut n case u need one, coz u gonna
have lots of live movies goin on btn ur frd n her guy frd..so u dont
actually get bored if u dont have company:-)

Start a little nest egg or rainny day money comes in handy if something
unexpected comes up.

im just worried about my mom, but she said shes moving in a year, she
wanted me to go, but my life and friends are here, i dont have real
family i was taught family are the people you make them. so i have some
REALLY great friends here. i will miss her. but i cant leave the only
thing i have ever known. she seems happy for me. so we shall see, i will
keep yall up to date trust me. my girl gave me my birthday gift and my
house keys tonight. :)

yes. i always lived with my mom, then when my dad died, she made me
promise not to leave her, but now she wants to move to alabama, but i
dont... so here i go.

Well, it is fun to be on your own, lot's of challenges and lot's of
rewards. It's just nice being able to be your own person and answer to
yourself.

i think i will be scared but it will be nice to have freedom... and not
having to say i live at home with mommy

Hi Rain, Friends are great, but sometimes when they become roomies -
things change because living w/ them is different than just being
friends. It's good to have a back up plan incase you wind up finding the
person is difficult to room with (like not paying bills on time if
that's a peave of yours, using your personal items that you really
wouldn't want to use after someone else has, not picking up after
herself or being a clean freek). There are zillions of other little
things that we don't think about till they happen but they bug the crap
out of us when they do. Then there's the guilt of leaving them w/ all
the bills if it don't work out. Might be a good idea to make an
agreement that we know we won't room together for ever and in the event
that one of us moves cause we get married or something, we will give the
other one this much times notice and will pay all our half of the bills
untill that date or something like that.

i hear you. we are great friends, yet money always comes between friends
i know, i know we need to sign some kinda agreement and i want reciepts
for my cash i give for rent. i love her but seen enough court shows. i
dont know if it will work out, i hope it does. but even if it doesnt at
least i know im strong enough to do it without my mom. and on my own one
day when mom leaves. my other girlfriend says its hard to live with a
friend. even if you are close, you end up hating each other. hope thats
not true

I have had a few roomies over the years and I will never do that again.
It seems that whether they are freinds or family it always goes bad.. It
is either no bill money or thievery.

It is better to live alone that way if you wanted you can stroll
around your place wearing whatever you want or nothing at all..
