Not only am I having issues with my smilees but I am also having email issues... One day the smilees work and the next they don't (sometimes this happens hour by hour) and when I try to send a link to someone via email the messages aren't going through. I see that the message is sent on my end but the other person isn't getting it.

HELP!!!!!

try clearing your cache, browser history

from what i understand is that they are doing alot of work to the site right now so sometimes it helps to clear out your browser. i had to do it a few time on a other site i was on when they was making changes

Thanks, cottonelle. That would be my first suggestion, since the problem with emoticons seems to come and go for lurchs_sister.

As for the other issue, the spam filter will catch links in emails unless you have already had some back-and-forth (over email) with that user. Hope this helps!

Thanks to all of you for the advice but I am using a public computer that gets cleared often and the email thing is a puzzle as these are people that I email often.

In that case, I'm at a loss as to what to suggest. You're at the mercy of the computers and those who have access to the computers' settings, it seems.

With respect to mails, I see that a number of yours were caught within the last month. I will email them to you.

If you are on a public machine, i'm afraid there isn't much i could do for you. I'm assuming, by public, you would be accessing through a networked system. The only way to make changes, would be through a system admin. If it is a small network, you may be able to talk with them about system changes. If it is a large network, such as a community college, or public library etc... That would likely not change.
