It’s time to end the good old boys club and kick special interest out of Washington. Most Senators and representatives have made a life time job out of taking pay offs and favors from special interest and they have forgotten the people who they represent. That would be Me and You.Lets not forget PORK BARREL SPENDING.

I feel sorry for the new senator or congress men/women that show up on capital hill and have to “PLAY BALL” with the good old boy establishment. You know what I mean:

“Son, vote for this bill and we will let you on this or that committee etc. if you don’t… we will make sure you only serve one term” Strong arm tactics have got to go and term limits must come to stay.

I say 8 years just like the U.S. President - what say you??

LETS TAKE OUR GOVERNMENT AND COUNTRY BACK PEOPLE!!! It's time to CLEAN HOUSE AND SENATE!!

What do you think their spending this money on- if you said your congress men or women then your right. Man I'm in the wrong business - politics is where the money is. I wonder what our founding fathers would think of this?

In addition to campaign contributions to elected officials and candidates, companies, labor unions, and other organizations spend billions of dollars each year to lobby Congress and federal agencies. Some special interests retain lobbying firms, many of them located along Washington's legendary K Street; others have lobbyists working in-house. We've got totals spent on lobbying, beginning in 1998, for everyone from AAI Corp. to Zurich Financial.

Total Lobbying Spending

1998 $1.45 Billion
1999 $1.44 Billion
2000 $1.54 Billion
2001 $1.63 Billion
2002 $1.81 Billion
2003 $2.04 Billion
2004 $2.17 Billion
2005 $2.41 Billion
2006 $2.60 Billion
2007 $2.82 Billion
2008 $1.58 Billion

Number of Lobbyists

1998 10,689
1999 13,704
2000 12,760
2001 12,075
2002 12,344
2003 13,171
2004 13,416
2005 14,547
2006 15,571
2007 15,771
2008 17,107

I say,

1. we vote for leaders that will all unanimously vote "NO"!!!!!!!! on every bill in every House of every legislature, state and federal for 6 years.

unequivically.think

2. we vote for a chief executives, state and federal, that will veto every bill that adds one dime to government spending and does not reduce the debt before lowering taxes and baiting voters with rebates and gimmies.

And that these chief executives systematically reduce government employment and ease burdens on the citizenry that are not matters of national security.

In a short six years, we can have a government by the people, for the people and of the people.

game?

think

That’s a great idea. I know that some people would still go for the money train though.

Now if the other reps kept them in line I think your plan would work. That and a President that would use his veto powers for the peoples benefit.

yup.

I know it is unrealistic, but it does make one wonder if it is possible to achieve at all.

Too bad our children are not taught in school how government really works.

Guess who we would have to trust for the curriculum? LOL

We have evolved into this nightmare, and our kids don't know any different, do they?

what a mess.

just the tip of an iceberg.

hey!!!!!!!!!!

maybe global warming will melt this iceberg.LOL

It's going to work but it's going to also take a little time. We got this my man!!We can take this country back to the basics and have our kids grow up in a less corrupt and cynical U.S.A. But first PEOPLE NEED TO GET OFF THEIR ASSES AND START GETTING INVOLVED with OUR GOVERNMENT.
