Topic: McCain losing it | |

I watched John McCain give a speech this morning in Pennslyvania. After listening to him speak, I have to wonder who writes his scripts.
McCain attacked Obama for his alleged position on a bipartisan immigration bill by saying that Obama was doing the bidding of "union bosses", all the while as he was speaking to a white, working class union crowd. He tries to have it both ways. He didn't tell this group that the "higher taxes" he is complaining about would only affect people making over $250,000 per year. When he praised the Mexican immigrants, he received a lukewarm applause. It is very obvious that McCain is the candidate of the white middle class status quo. There were no faces in the crowd that were not white. It will be interesting to see how he tries to shift the debate away from the economy and back to personalities. Unfortunately, the people are focused on the economy now. RIP McCain campaign. |

Thats not entirely the story, because who was it that worked hand in hand with Ted Kennedy to provide amnesty?
John McCain. Who was it that went before the La Raza race group and, right after telling the Conservative base that he had "heard their voice", told the racsists in La Raza that if he becomes president he'll see the illegals get their ride into our nation? John McCain. Didn't hear about that on CNN/Faux/MsNBC? Just one more example of the joke that is the claims of a "liberal" media. |

That was a foolish thing to say at a union hall. ![]() First post? Welcome to Mingle2. ![]() |

McCain says he "got the message" on amnesty but that is a bunch of BS too. He still doesn't get it. Hes says "people want the borders secured first." That's it? That is only half of it. We DO NOT want them to have amnesty. His program says he will have all the border state governors certify their borders are secure. How in the hell is that going to work? He never says. |

I am an Obama supporter, and I am 100% for an amnesty law of some kind, but I sincerely believe that the very first step that has to be taken is a big, long fence on the US-Mexico border. Then whoever comes in can get in line like everyone else. Sorry if that offends you. But this wholesale coming across has to stop. It's funny how we don't worry about "terrorists" coming over the border for some reason just because it's Mexico.

McCain was speaking to some Irish group in Pa. and was talking about easing current day Irish immigration. Most of not all of the Irish immigrants are tradesmen, and they run to union membership when they get here. A very awkward little dance for McCain.
