Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura is to host a new investigative series for television channel TruTV which promises to look into different “conspiracy theories” and weigh up their validity.

Ventura will reveal details of the upcoming series in an exclusive appearance on the Alex Jones show tomorrow (Wednesday 1st October).

A press release posted via PRNewswire states:

Jesse Ventura, a man who has lived a dangerous life, is about to explore mysteries behind the most compelling modern day conspiracy theories for truTV. Production of a pilot featuring Ventura begins in October. The project comes to truTV from A. Smith & Co. Productions.

[...] Ventura will hunt down answers, plunging viewers into a world of secret meetings, midnight surveillance, shifty characters and dark forces.

Ventura first appeared on the Alex Jones show earlier in the year to reveal his questions and concerns over the official government version of events surrounding the 9/11 attacks.

Since that time the former Navy Seal has been extremely vocal in his support for the 9/11 Truth Movement. Ventura spoke passionately on the subject in front of 10,000 strong and millions watching on C-Span during an appearance at Ron Paul’s Rally For The Republic last month.

During his last appearance on the Alex Jones show this July, Ventura hit out at a now entrenched culture that “cannot handle the truth” when it comes to the events of 9/11, the war in Iraq, the devastation that has been wrought on the economy and the “failed political leadership” of the last eight years.

TruTv currently reaches 91 million U.S. households, meaning Ventura will potentially reach millions of viewers who are not already aware of his views and the movements he has associated himself with.

Alex Jones was recently pitched a similar series tentatively titled “American Conspiracy”, by the same production company behind the Ventura fronted show.

Ventura Details Upcoming Conspiracy TV Show

Former Governor vows to ask tough questions, says his credibility will ensure he is not taken lightly

Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura has elaborated on an announcement that he is to host a new TV show investigating conspiracies, revealing that he will broach the subject of the 9/11 attacks.

Ventura told listeners of the nationally syndicated Alex Jones show that the TruTV series he is working on will look into 9/11 and ask questions surrounding the stonewalling of the truth concerning the attacks.

“To me that is the question we are going to try and pursue,” Ventura stated.

“People who will stonewall 9/11, well why? If what you are saying is true then simply tell the truth and let the chips fall where they may.” he continued.

While stressing that he did not yet want to reveal all the details behind the show, Ventura told listeners that the show will approach the subject matter from a unique angle.

“We’re going after a different perspective of 9/11 here and I think it’ll be very entertaining as well as fact finding. I think people are going to find it very very interesting.” he commented.

“We’re going to give both sides of the issue, I’d like people to understand that too,” Ventura said.

“We’re not just coming at this show with a perspective in mind that Ok this is what we’re going to promote and this is the way we’re going… ultimately the viewer will have to decide what they do and do not want to believe.”

“Conspiracies have fascinated me for going on 25 years now starting with the murder of John F Kennedy, and watching it evolve into everything else and now into the 9/11 conspiracy.” Ventura, a former Navy Seal elaborated.

“I love history and it disturbs me when history is not recorded correctly or history is misled because generations from now people will never get a clear picture of what went on.”

“I think it’s very intriguing stuff. And even for people that don’t believe or don’t want to, or whatever it may be, it’s still very compelling and interesting. In many ways real life has more mystery and intrigue than what anyone could make up in their own heads and write down as a fiction writer.” he stated.

Though clearly enthused by the project’s progress, the former independent mayor and Governor cautioned that the show could come under threat should powerful interests decide that the exposure Ventura can bring to an issue could be undesirable to them.

“I’m going to question people and I think my credibility precedes me to where they can’t take me lightly. If we see the light of day, that is. I’ve warned all the people that I am working with at the Tru network that I still would only give this show a 50/50 chance of seeing the light of day.” he said.

Ventura also spoke on a variety of other issues including the reaction to his public support for the 9/11 truth movement, his views on the economic bailout bill, as well as his best selling book Don’t Start The Revolution Without Me.
