i often come to this place
 when there is no where else i can go
for peace & refuge & shelter
 from the storms of life raging all around me...
 it is hard to be entirely happy all the time
when the people we love and care for
and when those we don't even know
 are hurting in one way or another

oh, i like to come here and rant too
i don't need to be a FLIPPIN ROCKET SCIENTIST
to know there is another stupid bike rally
around here 
or another dumb biker convention
the wanne be bikers come out of the wood work
all with serious spring fever
cause they haven't done anything 
except watch tv for the past several months
so they all have to flock to the damn biker rallies 
and i get to hear fifty thousand cooped up
forty and fifty year old mostly overweight hogs on hogs  
who mostly can't even work on their own bikes 
and who are suffering from major mid life crisis 
so they have to antagonize my neighborhood
all revving their stupid engines 
and showing off, big time, like idiots
racing through town like flippin teenagers
with over active hormones
setting off car alarms 
and rattling flipping walls 
and having people all over town 
reaching for the excedrin
and in my case...something else
but it is sooooooo sad that we
who happen to live nearby
have to be dragged through  that vicious assault on our senses
from stupid self centered people
with no life of their own
those who always  have to follow the crowd

they wouldn't be caught dead
wearing anything else than black
they think they are so bad azz...
they all have to be sporting
their little leather costumes
but they make me so mad too
