What are your thoughts on the statement "Tis better to love than lose"? Personally I find it kind of void of emotion, and I don't think it takes into account losing the one you love. It is limited at best, but used way too much.

i think it's relative to the individual, and personality. also it may deal some with insecurities of some, in some cases, or if the love was deep beyond compare, one could easily relate to this, by not being able to comprehend
"NOT" having this experience, for it was a most incredible journey-life-experience, beyond discription, therefore, the cliche is warranted.....

It's better to have loved and lost?

Well, words usually do fall short...after all, they are just words.

Ask somebody in Wisconsin a question, and expect an answer no more than three and one half words.

I believe the full quote is "'Tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all."

Either way, I agree with the J. Geils Band... "Love Stinks"...

"Love Stinks" is from a song, too... lol... and I think that is the sum total of what I think about love today

I believe the quote you're talking about..."tis better to have loved and loss, than not to have loved at all"...

Been through this already...no, that is not the quote I'm talking about...it is along the same lines but has a twist and is shorter for flow and rhythm purposes. Please read the entire thread or at the very least a few replies above you...
